Katie's Bar — Restaurant in Bacliff

Five stars for Service and Atmosphere and two stars for food (drinks in this case). The band was really good tonight. I sat at the bar with some family just for drinks. I've tasted margaritas all around Bacliff (Noah's and Eagle's while visiting this week). The margaritas tonight tasted weird like the ice or something in the mix was not right. Two family members tasted the drink and agreed. Sent the first drink back ($11.25 which included an extra shot of Rio Grande Tequila) and specifically asked for a Jose Cuervo and Grand Marnier Rita. That drink still tasted strange (family tasted my drink again and agreed). I drank the Rita anyway. I was charged for everything ordered. Not a pleasant experience. I will not order another margarita at Katie's Bar. I'm posting this review only to call attention to an issue that most likely can be resolved. They should taste what they are serving to their customers especially when a customer...

This is by far my favorite live music venue in the area. Katie's always has great music. Mostly rock and blues. The drinks are cheap and they have happy hour. They have a limited menu. Pizza, wings and other snack stuff. I have never known them to have a cover charge. It is not a large venue as it was once the old Post Office so there is not a bad seat in the house. Katie's Bar in Bacliff is the BEST live music venue in Galveston County!! The staff is very friendly, and attentive. Even when it's packed they swing by the table to see if you need anything. Great atmosphere. They have live music of the week and hear some great music! Artists like Mark May, James Wilhite & The Classics, Mike Zito, Blues Survivors, Funksion, Chip Oliphant, Hugo Jamz and many more. Plenty of parking in the rear lot. Cold AC, Ice Cold Drinks, and Patio area outside....
