I went two days in a row. My initial thoughts. Very very obscenely expensive for a very small cup of coffee (8 oz drink). That said- the pistachio latte drink I had the first night was truly delicious with small bites of pistachio crunch which made it unique and tasty. Unfortunately it’s all downhill from here. The prices are truly insane given the ridiculously small size of the cup. The man who made my coffee night 1 was extremely kind and welcoming. My day 2 experience was so sad and confusing. They recognized I was here just the night before and greeted me warmly and thanked me for returning. I even brought a new guest with me to introduce her to the flavors but the attitude we were met with were beyond off putting that it will never be worth it to return here. Since the drinks all have unique names with zero descriptions, it’s not inherently obvious what you’re ordering so we asked questions- the woman was sharing details on the cold drinks. She stated Habibi latte was very sweet to which I replied “I don’t like too sweet. I’ll do the date latte please”. Well unfortunately this one was extremelyyy sweet as well. I approached her quietly to ask if she can remake it into the pistachio drink I had from the night before because I knew that one wasn’t sweet and it was delicious. She immediately made a big fuss, got defensive, called the manager, told me to sit down while they discussed (so dramatic, it’s coffee), returned to me and spoke very aggressively towards me and asked “why did you order the date latte if you don’t like dates?” I was so confused why she was so offended and allowed herself to talk to me in this manner over a cup of coffee. I do like dates and she implied the habibi latte was the only sweet one. (Or at least that’s how I understood her statement. It’s okay if there is a miscommunication between humans. It’s never okay to respond the way she did. Making me another drink to correct what she misexplained (i suppose it’s also possible that both me and my friend misunderstood and she explained perfectly) would have been the logical thing to do. I don’t like confrontation and her unkind harsh tone towards a returning customer bringing in new people- over a cup of coffee!! is so disrespectful and beyond understanding. 1 star customer service aside, opening hours state 9:30am. No one was even around setting up and they finally appeared to let us in at 9:36. They had us wait around while they got set up for their day. We sat down and waited for the woman to eventually invite us to order. Incredibly unprofessional on so many levels. If you want someone to mistreat you and serve you an itty bitty cup of coffee, you’ve found your place. The last thing I’ll say. Maybe she was having a bad day.. we’re all allowed bad days. But please. If you’re reading this, it costs nothing to be kind. This is a customer service industry. Don’t treat your customers like this. Misunderstandings will happen, calm down. And get bigger cups:) all...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at this coffee shop today. The listed closing time on Google Maps was 11:15 PM, so my friends and I arrived at 10:20 PM, planning to wait for the rest of our group and order together. We sat there for about 10 minutes until our friends arrived, and at 10:30 PM, a staff member (a girl wearing a hijab) rudely informed us that they were no longer taking orders.
I politely mentioned that their listed closing time was 11:15 PM, to which she snapped back with an attitude, saying they close at 10:30 PM because of Ramadan. I completely understand if the hours were different due to Ramadan, but the way she handled the situation was unprofessional. Instead of politely informing us when we arrived at 10:20 PM, she waited until we were ready to order and then dismissed us with a side-eye and an awful attitude.
Even after showing her the Maps listing, she didn’t bother to check or apologize. Another worker saw the listing, but she ignored it completely. If they were closing early, the professional thing to do would have been to let us know when we arrived, not act dismissive and rude when we were about to order.
I understand that people get tired, and I respect the adjustments for Ramadan, but customer service matters. A simple, polite explanation would have made a huge difference. Instead, the attitude and lack of courtesy ruined the experience. I do not recommend this place until they train their staff to treat customers with...
Read moreHonest review—not to shame the place or anything, but more-so to let the establishment work on their shortcomings.
This place gets decent marketing and builds the hype for the customer to come in, and, for us specifically, to try their realistic fruit desserts. However, it ended up just being slightly overpriced for the small portion, and not the best quality either.
Although it tasted decent, one of the three desserts were brought straight out of the freezer and completely inedible, just had ice all around. As an establishment, you can either let the customer know, it will be that way, and to let it thaw before eating; or, offer a refund if they return dissatisfied (not provided, just told to wait a bit). After it thawed, it just tastes watery and the flavor is just ruined.
Overall, not worth paying $42 (insane) for 3 fruit desserts, in which, one was inedible. Establishment can perhaps also work on the packaging to at least make the customer “experience” slightly better, vs a generic plastic container, considering they probably have a good amount of people coming in just for the fruit desserts, which has been trending lately.
Hope to return some time in the distant future, with perhaps some changes. But with how it is currently being ran (look at other low reviews too), this place seems to have poor retention rates and will not do well long term if these problems are...
