I had the Caesar wrap with German potato salad. The German Potato salad was wonderful. The wrap should have been wrapped differently. The way it was wrapped separated the lettuce from the chicken. They put a layer of the greens , rolled it once then put the meat and dressing. When I ate it I either got salad mix or chicken but not both… put dressing then salad mix then chicken then the cheese, fold in once, then fold in both sides and roll then cut…. Everything mixes and every bite is the same…. Otherwise it was wonderful… great attitude and funny.. we went to go in the wrong door and they made a great joke… wonderful start to the meal… very clean and friendly environment.

What a gem of a restaurant in Baker City! So glad we found & stopped at this spot on our road trip. All the meats were delectable. Broccoli salad had a perfect balance of sweet with tang, and all the dressings/spreads tasted fresh, homemade & savoury. The portion sizes were incredibly generous. Staff was so attentive, charming, & humorous. Decor was cute & quaint, it felt like eating in a dear aunt’s home. Both restrooms were clean & smelled wonderful. We would definitely stop here again when in Baker City.

Crystal our waitress was hilarious and very welcoming. The breakfast burrito was delicious. Maybe add a little more sausage in the gravy but the coffee was fresh and delicious. A true local hangout, welcoming strangers, even Mr. And Mrs. Denver. 😉

Ah, The Little Pig. Just saying the name takes me back... back to simpler times, back to my childhood, back to the 1980s when comfort food came in the form of a paper tray filled with golden tots, and happiness meant sitting in the back of an El Camino, legs swinging, ketchup packets in hand, and the wind in my hair like I was starring in my own coming-of-age movie.

That little out-of-the-way gem was where memories were made, and waistlines were expanded with zero regret. It was where I first learned that tater tots weren’t just a side dish - they were a love language.

Now? The tots are gone. So is the 80s playlist and probably the guy who used to grill everything wearing a bandana and a tank top that said “Pig Out.” But something is still there. Something warm. Something peaceful. Something that feels like home, but better. Like if your favorite childhood diner grew up, got a little more refined, and started brewing really good coffee.

The food is still delicious - simple, honest, and comforting without trying too hard. Breakfasts that hit the spot. Sandwiches that don’t skimp. Coffee that deserves its own fan club. And best of all, it’s quiet. No rush. No fuss. Just friendly faces, good food, and that same welcoming spirit that’s always made The Little Pig feel like your place, even if you’ve been gone for years. They even have the same old signage!

It’s not flashy. It doesn’t need to be. It’s the kind of place that remembers who you are, even when you’ve forgotten for a little while.

The tots may be a thing of the past, but the heart of it - the kindness, the calm, the connection - that’s still alive and well.

And honestly? That’s worth more than all the ketchup-stained memories...

This experience left much to be desired. The breakfast menu was nothing spectacular, I ordered a breakfast burrito and it was more like an appetizer. Just a burrito on a plate. Asked for salsa and sour cream to go with it, and this was served out of plastic packets as if we had gone through the drive-thru. Asked for creamer with my coffee, it came in a plastic ramekin cup. No sweetener sugar or salt and pepper on the tables. If you want that, there's a little station where you go over and pick it up as if you are in a truck stop. That includes a stir stick for your coffee. Which reminds me, no silverware was brought to the table. No water was served. My buddy ordered biscuits and gravy, he asked for a egg over easy on top, we were informed that they don't fry eggs. Their method is to whisk up some egg wash and bake it in the oven on a tray and cut it into squares. I definitely was not impressed and neither was my company that was there with me. I am certain I will never come back. It seems to me that they should hire a chef to build a better menu and manage...
