They were very busy the Sunday we stopped in while passing through town. But they were quick to take our order and were very accommodating in allowing us to wait while it was prepared. They had self serve drinks so we were able to sit and refresh while watching a little TV. It was definitely worth the wait! I had a bacon cheeseburger that was cooked to Perfection and well-dressed, my son had one of the best shrimp Po boys that he has ever had. I got fries that were lightly but perfectly seasoned and he got handmade onion rings that were fried in a crispy batter and absolutely delicious. Staff was very friendly and helpful and checked on us throughout. There was plenty of parking and the location was convenient. I only regret that I don't live close by to try more items on the menu. I'm willing to bet their chicken is fabulous. This was a very special lunch for me, the last one shared with my son before he get deployed to the Middle East in the Army. When they first opened, I went here at least twice a week. I met the owner who was very pleasant & I didn’t mind driving from St. George to Baker for the delicious meals. Fast forward to now… it’s fallen off completely! The service is horrid. We waited at the counter for 10 minutes while being ignored by their only 2 staff members before we decided to leave. Its been over a year since one the worst experiences I've ever had with my ex favorite restaurant. However, I had decided to stop being a customer but tonight was a night. They have redeemed themselves yet again. My original experience has been returned the old CALLAHANS is back and better than before.
