The food was great! Yummy tasting and nice portion. The PRICE on the menu is NOT accurate. The French Toast said $2.99, but was $3.99 when I paid. The service and wait time for your food was a horrible. Waited over 10 minutes (after being seated) for a waitress to acknowledge us and waited over an hour for an omelet and French toast. Several tables walked out after ordering due to the long wait times. My husband said the waitress rolled her eyes at me when I asked for more chocolate in my chocolate milk. When we finished eating, we asked to pay for the single older man's meal that was sitting beside us. I heard him order eggs well done, toast, and coffee. When I went to pay, they tried to charge me for another tables meal (almost $30 worth). When I told them that is not what that man ordered, they kept insisting that was the order for his table. I finally had to walk over to the man and ask him what he ordered (then had to tell him why I asked) and go back and tell the cashier before they could get it right. Absolutely one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in awhile! We got there a little late (about 30min before close), I asked if it was okay for us to dine otherwise no worries as they were busy and we were late. Staff was very kind and told us to have a seat. They’re a little short staffed so service was a little slow but not bad. They let you know this ahead of time, we were grateful that they didn’t turn us away and were patient. We both ordered Paul’s pancakes and my lord that’s a pancake! Crispy lacy edge, buttery and fluffy. The bacon was great, the scrambled eggs were good, the shredded hash brown was crispy, savory and soft in the center. Coffee was good and hot. We were there on Saturday June 17th (during the Rhododendron Festival). We waited for 15 minutes to get a table and then places our order for Biscuits and Gravy. (had a party of 4) 3 coffees and a water. We waited over an hour and a half and still didn't get our food. Other tables had people leaving before we decided to go somewhere else. THey did have a HELP WANTED sign up in the window (but so does everyone else!)
