Good place to work if you want to make good money/tips. Will make you work overtime (40+ hrs a week) as a “part time” employee. The manager will make her husband call and fire people rather than doing it herself (don’t even know how she’s a manager), they also fire people with no explanation, no office conversation or opportunity to fix anything they did wrong. The resturant they share the kitchen with has (or had at the time, 2016) 2 chefs who made advances at the girls who worked there. Love the coffee and pastries here! We traveled over to Bald Head for the day and made two coffee runs. In the morning it was chilly, so we got hot drinks including the Funky Monkey and Grasshopper. The pastries were warm and super moist - we had the chocolate muffin and apple cinnamon scone. We drove our golf cart all the way across the island to East Beach to enjoy them and they were perfect! Tried this coffee shop twice today (7/15/25), and both times, they got a simple coffee order wrong. The first coffee I asked for was an iced drip coffee with a splash of cream, and they made it like a latte as I could not taste any coffee. The second time, I just asked for an iced coffee black, and they handed me a hot coffee. When I said I asked for it iced, the girl froze and was confused about what I asked for.
