The Mill on North
GOOD: nearly everything - food quality, atmosphere was a surprising star and service was great too
BAD: Nothing much - parking isn't super easy, maybe I was legal maybe not?
TMN was a pleasent, even fun surprise addition to West Baltimore. I went for the food, but it was the atmosphere that took the blue ribbon. It's a food court set in a fun, loungy cavern - but bright and fun, not gloomy.
Beyond usual food court seating, they have lounge areas - couches and coffee tables. The walls adorned with fun murals bring out the chill atmosphere. If you're a drinker, the mini bar brings the fun home.
The food was no slouch. I ordered the catfish and fries from Next Phaze - delicious, well-seasoned, crunchy and big. The price was very fair at 14.
I ordered delicious donuts from Krazy Sweet. They were fluffy and the sweetness was spot on. They were pricey, but costs will be higher for a small baker and I was happy to support a new local business. Both vendors were very friendly.
TMN also has a free water and cup station for a quick sip and public restrooms. I highly recommend this...
Read moreI been living in this area all my life. I was happy when the mill opened. To see all black owned businesses. The disappointment for me was today my family and I went there to watch after church. All of the stands basically sell some type of sandwich. Except 2 sow we went to 3 chefs we spent close to $200 not that it was a problem the problem was the food was not good. The oxtails the sauce was thick and salty. The oxtails were dry and hard the peas and rice were okay the pasta was alright the curry chicken egg roll was extremely hot couldn’t eat it the salmon and shrimp sandwich was bland the French fries had some kind of season on them they didn’t need it at all. The beef patty was good. Also we stopped at the dessert stand the strawberry pudding was not giving anything at all now the donuts are a must. Since no one liked their food we got a smoothies and that was good. Oooo and they stopped at the bar which is over priced they charge $15 for a shot of Tito’s. I just wish the food was better. The mill is...

Nestled in the historic and legendary Coppin Heights near Coppin State University, The Mill Food Hall is more than just a place to grab a bite—it’s a cultural landmark in the making. With its artistic flair and vibrant design, the space is beautifully personalized to reflect the spirit and resilience of the surrounding community. It truly feels like a symbol of a brighter today and tomorrow for West Baltimore.
The variety of food options makes it easy for everyone to find something they’ll enjoy. I stopped by D&B Deli and had a fresh, flavorful salad that hit the spot. The energy in the hall is warm and welcoming, blending the best of food, art, and community pride.
Whether you’re a student, a local, or just passing through, The Mill is definitely worth a visit. It’s a great example of how food and culture can come together to honor a neighborhood’s legacy while building...
