Milkey’s Place — Restaurant in Barry

We drove 1 1/2 hrs because we heard of this amazing Tenderloin Pizza. Unfortunately, when we went to order, we were told they were out of Pizza Cheese, so no tenderloin pizzas or regular pizzas. They were also out of the garlic cheese nuggets. We settled on 1/2 order of fried pickles, a Tenderloin Horseshoe, a Club BLT with a baked potato. The Sweet Tea was amazing, the pickles breading was perfect, and the tenderloin was big! Limited staff, great teamwork among the employees that were working. Our waitress, was very welcoming, she greeted us, took our orders, food came out at a reasonable time, our drinks never went dry. She was checking out customers, on top of answering phones, organizing the pickups, and waited on all the tables, about 10 of them. She was all over the place, and still never ignored us. Definitely a hidden treasure! Went in with my parents, I was visiting from Florida. I have never regretted moving more! Owners were gems! Food is so delicious!!! Hot roast beef sandwiches with mashed potatoes the best ever, and the gravy was perfect. Parents got the special which was awesome, I tried it. My Brother got breakfast and that sausage patty was so flavorful and the eggs are huge! Definitely country chickens lol. Just remember respect the locals, they deserve it. I stumbled upon this quaint little place by accident during late morning, when I had gone to Barry for other business. My waitress, Savannah, was very courteous and pleasant!

When I walked in, my intentions were to order the tenderloin until I saw pork steak listed as the day's special. With that, I had mashed potatoes, smothered in peppered country gravy and lima beans. The lima beans did not really agree with my taste because they were sweetened, to which the waitress explained that many of the items there were.
