Located in one of the remaining historic Peoria State Hospital buildings, Club Phoenix II is most certainly the best locally-owned Bar and Grill I've ever been to for food in the Peoria area. The owners and staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious, and the portion size of the food definitely gives you value for your dollar. Everything that I've tried on their menu is just wonderful, making it difficult to choose just which one mouth-watering plate to order. Hands-down the best BLT I've ever had ( the bacon is crisp, not limp and soggy, and they don't skimp on it!) and the shrimp dinner is to die for! I do not understand why more folks do not eat here. I guess it is Bartonville's best kept secret! The prices are low if you have been to a store...

There is also a bar but it looked a little cluttered as it was a workspace. The decorations were like I was in grandma and grandpa's family room. The lighting was a bit strange.
Ribeye was seasoned and cooked very nicely. The Supreme Pizza tasted quite "porky" but I would have to order a pizza without sausage to know if that was what the weird taste was. I would try other options...
