Solid pizza spot with classic rock vibes.

I met Jackson (sous-chef) randomly at Kroger. He has a pizza slice tattoo, so I knew he was in the game. The pie did not disappoint. I went with the Margarita, a side of tomato basil soup, and a Dr. Pepper (because, Texas).

Good undercarriage. Zero flop. The crust had the right amount of crunch for a Marg, as well as a generous amount of mozzarella. The basil seemed small, at first, but the flavor was present. And the pizza came out quick.

The soup was not what I was expecting, in a good way. It was a touch spicy, which probably pairs well with the grilled cheese or salad they have on the menu.

Overall, I approve. Hailing from Chicago, I have been looking for a go-to pizza joint. Even though I do not drink alcohol, I can appreciate this restaurant. Jackson just redid the menu, so those familiar with "The Tavern" should come back around. Hopefully, I can catch a show next time and hang out on the patio.

It’s a good bar. Love the bartenders. They’re personable and attentive. They’re lowkey some of the friendliest bartenders I’ve come across. I don’t understand the kitchen closing at 9 on weekdays.

You’re a bar with a kitchen. The kitchen should be open when you are. Even if it costs you money. I just wanted to buy some fries, but the kitchen closes at 9 despite the bar being open until 11.

Most restaurants don’t even close until 10. If you want to have a kitchen you might consider, I don’t know, leaving it open… even if most nights it costs you a bit of money. Won’t be returning nearly as frequently knowing the kitchen closes when it does.
