We moved to Falcon Lakes about a month ago. We love outdoor live music. Heard about The Nest Wednesday night music, have went every Wednesday.
It has been mostly good. Here is my issue. We want to sit outside to hear and watch the musician. But it always seems to be an issue. The not so friendly hostess has multiple reasons we cannot get a table outside.
Tonight and another Wednesday it was that the open outdoor tables are “reserved”. The Nest’s Facebook page clearly states that no reservations are taken on Wednesday music nights. When I told her that, her response was that the reserved tables were for the “owner”. Wow, really? Then reservations should be allowed for all. This is the second Wednesday we heard that.
Tonight, after they sat us inside, we watched the restaurant manager move additional tables and chairs from behind the scenes, to the outside for new people coming in to sit outside to eat and watch the music. Many people that came well after us were able to sit outside near the live music.
The last issue is that the unfriendly hostess, will tell us that the 3 or 4 open tables sitting together, cannot be split for my wife and I. Why not? This makes no sense.
I like your place in general, but I think these seating inequalities should...
Read moreI have tried this place several times, I am a vegetarian and so typically have to order from the sides menu. This time I ordered onion rings and a cup of tomato basil soup. He brings the onion rings, which are cold by the way, and then tells me Oh and I forgot to tell you we are out of the soup, is there something else you want? I said Well, I wish you had told me but I guess I'll take mac and cheese. By this time the two people I came with have most of their meal eaten and all I have are cold nasty onion rings which by the way they need to remove from the menu because they're clearly something frozen from a bag that you can make at home. He finally brings me the mac and cheese which is also cold and just a sticky ball of some kind of cheese, I don't know what, but it certainly shouldn't be in macaroni and cheese....
Read moreMy wife and I moved to Falcon Lakes 4 years back (despite neither of us being golfers!). We are within walking distance of the club house, which is open to the public. It's a beautiful setting, and they are making improvements all the time. We've been frequent visitors, once a month minimum, to the clubhouse for dinner or lunch, and have never had a single issue. The wait staff and management have always been polite and attentive. Recommended if you're...
