An Absolute Gem in Bastrop This place is legendary. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, and it has never disappointed. The Smoked Boudin is my personal favorite, but honestly, everything on the menu is top-tier.

A quick note—this spot used to have hundreds of glowing reviews, but when the original owner sadly passed, his son took over and had to restart the Google reviews from scratch. Don’t let the current review count fool you—this place has a long-standing reputation for excellence.

Absolutely, hands down the BEST Cajun food I’ve had.

Everything is made fresh and better than you can imagine.

Jamie, the owner, is personable, friendly, and his Cajun accent is to die for.

We had the gumbo, po boy, some cabbage, cracklins…and it was all simply delicious.

I live in Missouri and will be bringing boudain, sausage, and whatever else I can fit in the cooler, back home.

Then next time I come visit my family in the area, that cooler will be coming...

I can’t give this place enough five stars… The food, the service, just everything about it is a solid five stars. We all definitely miss Ken, but Jamie is rocking and keeping this place up and going making the BEST damn Cajun food in this area!
