An Absolute Gem in Bastrop This place is legendary. I’ve been coming here for about 5 years, and it has never disappointed. The Smoked Boudin is my personal favorite, but honestly, everything on the menu is top-tier.
A quick note—this spot used to have hundreds of glowing reviews, but when the original owner sadly passed, his son took over and had to restart the Google reviews from scratch. Don’t let the current review count fool you—this place has a long-standing reputation for excellence.

Everything is made fresh and better than you can imagine.
Jamie, the owner, is personable, friendly, and his Cajun accent is to die for.
We had the gumbo, po boy, some cabbage, cracklins…and it was all simply delicious.
I live in Missouri and will be bringing boudain, sausage, and whatever else I can fit in the cooler, back home.
Then next time I come visit my family in the area, that cooler will be coming...
