Southern Bell is my FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD SPOT. Come any day and get quality comfort food . Consistently prepared the same every time and hot. The menu is short n sweet. Just enough veggies to choose from. Fresh steak to die for. French fries are Mash potatoes. Homemade delicious Mac n cheese, i do believe its baked most days. Fried chicken to meatloaf Burgers etc. Everyday there's Chili, Vegetable soup , Chicken noodle. My fav is Vegetable soup I can request a Roll which they are yummy and are crackers. BLT oh my God yummy.. My lunch is normally Baked mac n cheese n cup of vegetable soup I eat light. Homemade Unsweetened TEA and REFILL FREE! Just add sugar r splenda. I ask for mine in a togo foam cup this way i get my refill to go Shuuuu !!!! Also its that crunchy hospital ice we call it lol just makes drinks taste better. If your a vegetarian i think they have enough sides to choose from cold n hot. Downside : sorry i have to tell the truth lol they don't have Fountain SODAS sorry. If your like me you got to have a a fountain coke cola. And im a coke drinker. They have pepsi bottled drinks. Now this thru can improve on. Now you may ask is it is cosy comfortable seating YES ! Yes they have plenty of booth seating as well as chairs. Some of the booth are in need of repair lol but not that bad. The Atmosphere is that of an old Truck stop family style n single. But with that said it's older seating. Not a high class but Family atmosphere is comfortable . Everyone sitting is talking enjoying the food n friends etc. I think anyone would love this place. It does grow on you. I been coming here almost 6. Years. And every time you can see the same Locals alongside the passer bys. The prices are fair. Yesterday my friend picked me up and she said we got to go to get out favorite CHIPPED BEEF GRAVY over toast with homemade fried potatoes w/onion . Onion is optional. Normally theres one dedicated cook plus one who cleans the tables and one r two to take your order on busy days. They do get PACKED from the Locals and Day trippers at Lunch and Weekend so be prepared for a wait. Not always but most times they are packed its a wait . You get fresh made to order food so please be patient. My only argument is they close at 230 pm. So breakfest n lunch is it .

They do have extended sesting in the bac maybe for parties are overflow. They sells Wreaths for different Holidays now they have Christmas wreaths on the wall noy sure the price. Yes they take cash, debit cards. You are allowed to bring your Doggie r kitty in but must be licensed to be a Emotional support are service pet. This is non smoking resturant Thry have a spot outside to smoke. The waitresses there are old school they even remember what i normally order. I hope i covered everything. Maybe i went over board because this is MY favorite spot. So to recap : its old world charm Sit down are take out Resturant. You may wait during busy times but most the time not. Its Made to order most items so please expect some wait. Yes Booths n chairs. They can set up to 20 people a group of sitdown i have seen it. Are tables with booths are chair. Handicap accessible plenty of free parking. You can walk your dogs on the side of the Restuarant. I believe this is considered a TRUCK STOP Restaurant . Plenty of parking for trucks. Just off of route 522 so easy off the road for cars are trucks. And they sell gas too! Hope i covered everything as this is my favorite place Im giving it 5 Comfort Restaurant stars. P.S. some may call this a Dive a Joint lol I call it home town old school charm Family style Restuarant . I think most will be pleased if u want decent affordable comfort food. And nope i don't get paid to say this they have no clue im posting . But this is my favorite and I wanted you all to know. And yes tipping is allowed and they appreciate. Friendly server but food was horrible. We ordered a fish dinner and a Delmonico steak. The fish was like $8.50 the Delmonico with $16. Will the fish were two square Patty bigger than what you get on a McDonald's fish sandwich but kind of expected fillets. Look like it came out of the frozen food section at Walmart. And the steak was the absolute worst steak ever. It was about a half inch thick ordered it medium came out well done and absolutely no flavor at all. Tasted like what I would imagine boiled shoe leather would taste like. Mashed potatoes were instant you would think at a place like that you might get home made mashed potatoes but no. Would never ever recommend this place if I could give it a lower...

Southern Bell I love it there. Old town feel sometimes the wait is long but most the time food is very hot n fresh. There soups are delicious and baked macaroni n cheese makes u feel like a kid it taste so good. I also had the steak it tasted like it was just cut fresh they never freeze the steaks. I think it's an old truck stop and they have booths somewhat worn but so comfy overall I give it 5 stars. They have daily specials as well. Homemade fresh tea cucumbers In a creamy sauce to die for.
