This was my 2nd time here, the first being a few years ago. I did not leave a review last time because the ticket times were so disproportionately long based on how busy the place was (not busy - 3 to 4 people inside & a 45 minute wait for a couple of breakfast meals that we did not change at all) that I wanted to give them a 2nd chance.

Unfortunately our 2nd visit was underwhelming as well. They apparently were understaffed which happens, but did their best to try and keep up. Ticket times werent bad, but the food really wasnt very good.

Ordered the crispy corned beef hash which comes with cheese. What I received was a mushy wrap, not crispy, with no cheese that was very bland. I choked down most of it because it’s not as if I was going to go eat at a 2nd restaurant, but it really wasnt good.

Plain eggs with onions and CBH mixed in is not a good combo. To be honest it was like trying to eat dog food - hot mush with no flavor with that type of consistency.

Probably have a hard time finding help in a small town such as Bath, but it was really disappointing. Left a 3 star rating to try and be fair but we wouldnt go back it wasnt worth it.

Ive seen this in small town restaurants in many places - high ratings then you show up and get a mismatched experience. Its because the locals have nothing else to compare to because they never leave their hometowns and see what else is out...

I'm leaving 4 stars for the food....mac and cheese was dry so the only reason the food didn't get 5. Unfortunately our last visit could rate the service experience was definitely not a great one....You you have a great food and I can see you have lots of regulars which speaks highly of the fabulous food, some of the best aroud honesty! That being said not all your customers are regulars or mind readers. When we were seated the waitress mentioned that the bottled drinks were self serve but my husband and I orderd alcohol and asked for a glass of water. We were not told it was self serve water at that point so naturally we waited for our water to be served to us. When the waitress came back to the table I asked for a water thinking the waitress simply forgot, she said it was self serve. I said "..oh sorry I didn't know." Waitress said if she "got to it" she would get us water, I said I could get it but she insisted she would get it. We never got water served to us after she insisted she would bring it. The appetizer we ordered came after our meals and people that came quite a bit after us was served their meals first even though they ordered the same type of food we did. We were waiting for our check because we again, are not mind readers and it wasn't mentioned to us when that we had to go up to the counter. Again food was great but our dine in...

I feel the best experience for me about eating at the Winnegance Restaurant other than the great food is the roots of the establishment haven’t been changed. The old wooden floors as one steps inside is silently echoing out the memories of former owners and customers when it was a General Store. The feeling of “Everybody Knows Your Name” still exists here. “Help yourself to a cup of coffee”and discuss the beauty of why Maine is so special - it’s the people. The owners, Holli and Shawn, are creating gourmet meals and desserts and they make everyone feel relaxed and welcomed. It’s homemade cooking that will warm your soul. The restaurant is small but the tables are constantly being shuffled to accommodate any sized party. The warmer weather brings the added bonus of outside porch dining. It’s just a great time and the help is always friendly and quick to please. Whether it’s a morning breakfast with real homemade fries or Shawn’s award winning chowders with a chicken salad sandwich, my family and I are never disappointed. The only disappointment one may encounter is scoring a parking spot, but take out is available and an abundance of fresh caught Maine fish, as well as other staples, are available to purchase. Thank you for working so hard and helping us to enjoy...

I wish Google allowed me to add an occasional sixth star when a place has something of the charts to offer. This restaurant's imports and pastries, seafood dishes for breakfast and their scones, were both some of the best breakfast items we have ever had anywhere. Charming location, indoor and outdoor seating, very slow service because they kitchen is small and the deliciousness is well known by locals, but you can grab pastries and self serve coffee right when you walk in(and you should not miss the blueberry granola scones!) All the food coming out looked good, nice home fries, homemade toast, sweet but interesting muffin French toast. But the seafood omelettes were the star of our meal. Bacon Swiss scallop with caramelized onions was breakfasty but loaded with scallops. The seafood omlette had loads of shrimp, scallop and lobster in every bite plus shredded crab throughout. Seafood was perfectly cooked, fresh and firm...a delicious reminder that you are eating food prepared by a local lobsterman's family, much of it out of the waters you can see from the tables on the porch. Exceptional... We might come back for the seafood tacos and salads again today at lunch if we can ever find room to eat again.
