Had the family together here for a birthday dinner for my brother and I, and it was a terrible experience from the moment we walked in the door. There wasn't exactly a protocol in place for those waiting for a table as we all just stood in the doorway as people walked in and out, not much room to move, and we weren't told to provide a phone number for them to contact when the table was ready or provided a call device or anything. They seated 7 of us at a round table that had a coupe of us squished against a 6 foot wall that runs right through the middle of the dining area and my brother was stuck in the walkway. Staff and guests were hitting him in the back as they walked past, staff held their trays of food over his head as they passed (completely unsafe), and even one staff member was pushing a dish tub into him repeatedly as he tried to pass at which point my brother had to say something. When we asked if we could be seated outside, we were told that area is just a waiting area that they can't get trays through although they have double doors, so we were quickly denied that request despite how uncomfortable we all were. It was extremely loud in the dining area, we could barely hear ourselves talking to each other. Our waiter was subpar. I ordered a regular frozen margarita and got a strawberry. My dad ordered a beef enchilada dinner and my fiancé ordered a cheese enchilada dinner. Our waitor set the beef enchilada dinner in front of my fiancé and the cheese enchilada dinner in front of my dad. My dad didn't realize until after a few bites that that wasn't what he ordered but decided to keep it. My fiancé asked to get his cheese enchilada dinner that he ordered and instead of bringing a fresh dinner altogether, he only brought out a couple of cheese enchiladas without the beans or rice. My dinner came with beans or a soup. When he took my order, he didn't ask me what I wanted, so I just assumed he would bring beans, which was fine. When I got my dinner, I had no beans and when I asked him about it, he said "I didn't know what you wanted" at which point I asked him for the beans. My problem with that is if I hadn't asked he would have never inquired and I would have been charged for something I didn't get. Just terrible service. It also took him about 10 minutes to charge our order, all on one ticket, so it's not like he had to go through multiple cards or anything. Wasn't really impressed with the food either. I had only been to this restaurant one other time besides this one and it was at the one on government at which time I didn't enjoy what I had to eat there either. The terrible service and the loud, crammed atmosphere was enough for me.. I will not...

I have yet to post my review of last night's dinner anywhere, publicly but I will get to that. I thought first this might be a forum to point out a few major problems with dinner. Obviously we should start with the wait time difficult to accept seeing as how there were plenty of tables out front available for sitting and dining unfortunately there were no wait staff appointed to that area secondly the bar we ordered two Sprites got them in styrofoam cups three-quarters of the way filled with Sprite and mostly ice $6.99. of course you want the tip so that made it $8. Then after a 30-minute wait we we're seated inside and specifically requested an outside dining area. After a brief conversation accommodations were made and we were moved to a great table. For that the hostess gets an "A". Finally order was placed and our meal delivered we're at my guest and I both ordered identical platters. The Steak & Shrimp fajitas. Although the orders were identical the plates were not one plate didn't have the green peppers and all the servings that go with the steak and shrimp one plate had three shrimp while the other only had two? The dressings provided for the fajitas or the Limited at very best in a very small saucer, one plate had two tomatoes one plate had none.? Now we certainly could have requested the waiter bring and adjust everything correctly but the place was very very busy and everyone looked to be tired already so we chose not to pressure anyone else with any extra duties. What makes this a problem is that each plate is nearly $30. You would be hopeful that at that price at least a determined effort would be made to get the plates correct and delivered to the table with everything necessary to enjoy a good meal and a great atmosphere. So in short I would say the overall rating is a C- . In short atmosphere was great staff was friendly and helpful and very busy and productive food was overpriced and underprepared but atleast least we enjoyed...

In reference to the review from M. Reveiz from a week ago, I and my husband happen to both be standing at the hostess stand when said transaction took place and that is not how it happened. Your friend, which was at the hostess stand by herself asking about a table didn’t like when the hostess politely informed her it would be about an hour wait and she would be glad to add her to the wait list. Said friend of yours proceeded to say that she was told 20 minutes when she called and shouldn’t have to wait all the while getting louder and belligerent to the hostess. Now maybe she did call and at that time it was a 20 minute wait but by the time you arrived there might have been more people show up, weekends are super busy at Superior. Back to the hostess, said friend started getting ugly with the hostess and raising her voice at her about why she told her 20 minutes when she wasn’t even the one that she spoke to her. The manager (Brian) tried nicely to defuse the situation and your friend got ugly with him and wouldn’t even try to talk to him but instead immediately played the discrimination card. He did not say he owned the restaurant but simply he was the manager on duty and he asked her to leave because she was causing a scene and holding up the line for customers that were trying to get on the waitlist. When she refused to leave the hostess stand and cussed at him, my husband went outside and got the cop in the parking lot to intervene. Superior Grill is a top notch restaurant with excellent service and if you look around they are far from discriminating against minorities or anyone. Your friend was way out of line that night and when she wasn’t catered to, SHE started being disrespectful and frankly super obnoxious. Had you actually been at the hostess stand with her your story would have been different are at least the facts...

I use to come to Superior as a teenager. But the government sr location. I loved it then. Taste buds do change over the years tho. After being seated I was brought chips & then the salsa….i like salsa. Most of them. But this salsa was good for kids. But not when eating alone or for people who like bold flavor & spice in their salsas. I asked if there was a second option to the salsa & was told there was not. So to the salsa I give a 1/5 stars. I ordered a small strawberry & spicy (jalapeño puree) with tajin rim. I got too much puree & not enough strawberry. I was hoping for a more strawberry with a hint of spicy from jalapeño. It tastes more like powdered jalapeño; not a fan. 1/5 stars I ordered the street tacos: brisket, duck & pork. Comes with chopped fresh jalapeño, red onion, lime & cilantro on the side. As well as rice & beans. Tacos were good. I’d say a good 4/5. The rice & beans were more bland & needed hot sauce. 2/5 stars. The staff were nice. I came on a rainy Wednesday afternoon so they weren’t busy at all. The atmosphere seems nice & prices match the atmosphere. 4/5 stars

Had a private party of 35 people. The room was very narrow and small. Setup wasn’t the greatest as it divided the room because narrow and long. Food was pretty good but literally ran out of tortillas, chips, and actual fajitas within first 15m. Had to constantly remind wait staff to bring more chips, cheese, food etc. one would think this would be automatic. Had to remind about drinks as well. I also overheard what appeared to be two managers complaining about us staying there for 2h and 20m. I think a booking of a private party of 35 2h and 20m isn’t long at all... then when we asked wait staff to make coffee one waiter gave a look of exhaustion and frustration. Even told other person “really?” After confronting the manager about what was overheard his look of guilt spoke volumes. In summary food was good when we had it but the staff was a let down. The space was also wayyyyyy too narrow and small which made it worse. Paid a lot of money to have it and was disappointed

Stopped through on the way to our destination and was craving spinach enchiladas. Fortunately, they were open until 11 so we were able to make it in time. The spinach enchiladas with rice and beans and spinach quesadillas were delicious!!!! I mean wow! I was standing at the smaller bar and 3 people saw me looking clueless and didn’t help me. One girl who was clocking out asked if I needed help and directed me to the larger bar to pick up the to go order (she saved them a star). The bar tender was very pleasant and a great salesman. Got me to get a $15 margarita to go. When I saw the receipt I felt it was overpriced, but the amount of food received with all the fixings and the family style container made me feel like I definitely got my money’s worth from the extraordinary food and portions provided. I would definitely return to enjoy the lovely, clean atmosphere!
