growing up godfathers pizza has always been my family's favorite place to eat we would always stop to eat there when we found one while taking road trips. over the years we noticed it being more and more rare to find them several times we would see a sign from the highway and when we pulled in discover that they had been shut down or closed for one reason or another. I cant tell you how often that disappointment ruined our night. 😥😭
anyways when we stopped at this location afyer seeing a older looking sign 🚗🛣🛑we were shocked to see that it was open!!! 😱😱😱 we walked threw those doors 🏠and was hit on the face instantly with a smell♨️ o hadn't smelled in over 10 years🍕🥖🥤🥃🍕....in that moment my mind went right back to that of my childhood🎭 self. my eyes wandered around the store as my dad placed our order a Canadian bacon and mushroom pizza with extra cheese. I remembered my whole family 👨👩👧👧👧sitting at the tables and eating dinner together. all my memories flooded back all the smiles and laughter we shared over our meals. the joy of brought each of us just to be sitting all together while just moments before we may have been arguing over everything inthe car because we had been on the road for days traveling to a new state road start a new life once again. as a military brat we did this quite often. i know it sounds cheesy (no pun intended ) bit if my life was a pizza.. ..your store would be the crust on which my childhood was built. thankyou for that amazing feeling u give me everytime I taste or smell your pizza. thank you for the kind service we have recieved from the staff at every location over the years. I now get to share these memories and make new ones with my own 👩🧑🧑👦👧 family. I hope one day many years from now my children will walk into your store and they too will be flooded with memories and they feel the need to give and share a positive review of your restuarant. thankyou again for everything! my family loves your franchise and will continue the tradition of going whenever we are all together. I do apologize for the long review I just had to...
Read moreI'll start by saying I'm a huge St. Louis style pizza fan. So I'm a bit biased there. This definitely is not my favorite pizza taste wise. That's Imo's for me. But my family thinks otherwise so they keep the 5 stars. Godfathers is really good if you like thick crust. If you order toppings the amounts are generous. They have a lunch buffet and salad bar. You fill your own drinks at a fountain which makes refills super easy. They have sweet and plain tea as well. They have a game room with air hockey and a bunch of arcade games. The dining area is always clean. And not busy. On a Saturday night we were the only family in there. You walk in order your food then sit where ever you like and they bring it out to you. If you order breadsticks they will come out first like an appetizer. Wings are great here too. They take as long to cook as a pizza. If you like they will delay making your pizza so you can have wings like an appetizer. I just get them at the same time as the pizza. We live very close and order online a lot. You can find coupon codes on Retail me not. A website and phone app. They never mess up our order and it is always ready when they say it will be. The employees have always been very polite. They have delivery too. I have never used it so no comment there. Highly recommend eating inside and getting a box for your leftovers. I don't like packed places. The sports pictures, games for kids and quiet atmosphere here make it very enjoyable. My wife got it as carry out for years but once I ate inside I love it. It's great when a business has nothing negative to say about it. Even better when they are so ...
Read moreI walked in and ordered a carryout Humble Pie on the Golden buttered crust. I got it hot and fresh out of the oven and five minutes later I sank my teeth into the best pizza I have had since I got one delivered to me in Chicago in 2000. I have been nothing short of disappointed with every pizza since then because the sausage always tasted strange or the beef tasted like rotten hamburger or the crust was rubbery...or the franchise owner made the employees be stingy with the cheese. Not the case with Godfather’s in Battlefield, MO. The crust is filling and flavorful without being heavy and doughy. The cheese is plentiful and perfectly melted and lightly blistered. The ratio of sauce to toppings was ideal. If you are in the Springfield area and you are debating about which of the many pizzerias to try, I suggest taking a trip to Battlefield to the Godfather’s restaurant. They even have a cool game room to entertain yourself while you wait and a daily lunch buffet with a very fresh and attractive...
