First let me just say, I’ve been a customer here for years. Today 11-2-22 I received the worse food ever. I bought a carry out plate which first was $19 for 1 plate.. but no big deal. I got home to eat the food and the gravy that was on the burned stew beef was so salty I couldn’t eat it. So, given the owner Sarah, had just watched me leave her restaurant I called back and told her what was wrong with my food. Sarah, the owner asked me what did I expect her to do? That the gravy came salty like that and I had already left with the food. I said well can you please credit me because I’ve paid $19 for this food I can’t eat and I’m at work. She was so rude and told me NO she wasn’t going to do that. I hung up the phone at this point because she was very unprofessional. If the owner doesn’t stand behind her food and the products she ordered I personally will never spend another dollar in her restaurant. It’s sad that the owner would speak to her customer in such an unprofessional manner. I’m very disappointed in her ethics, lack of professionalism, attitude and the way she represented herself as a business owner and Board Member of our local Commissioners. Sarah, it’s time for you to sale out or retire if you don’t appreciate your customers any better than this. My family and I have spent so much money at Sarah’s in the City Baxley, Ga we should have stock. I wasn’t a fly by night customer. You won’t take my money and give me awful service and expect me not to notify others. That’s unacceptable Sarah, but that’s something you should know by now as long as you’ve been in business. Remember, it’s the loyal customers like myself that have kept you afloat, be mindful because God sits high and look low. Your customers should matter not just take our money and dismiss our complaints should there be one. Customer service is very important!! Please go take a refresher course on Customer Service if you plan to work with the public. Sincerely, Ex...
Read moreWas looking for a good buffet to eat at in Baxley on 2/23/20, was in town for work. Unfortunately this place was NOT it! Me & my spouse arrived at 1:45, paid and sat down to eat. Went to the salad bar and several items were out so avoided the salad. Pork chops and gizzards especially, were cold and hard without seasoning. The collard greens were almost out but I did get a scoop but they were full of stems and had no seasoning. What I saw as desert looked like slop that had been messed over. The unsweetened tea was fine. Now after all this disappointment, we noticed staff removing food from the bar, they were closing down the food bar while we were just beginning to eat. Come to find out, they closed at 2! Not one word from the young man at the register when we paid. We got up to leave and approached the same cashier and asked why we weren't told they closed in 15 mins. because they removed the food from the bar. His reply was...oh sorry about that, yet our $24.00 was still in their register! Any establishment of the sort should always be curtious of their customers, ALWAYS...especially using God's word on their walls. Customers should have been asked if they wanted anything else from the bar before they shut it down, there were less than 5 customers in the place. Not sure how this place has such good reviews, the food and service was unacceptable and we were robbed of $24.00 for food that was not made available to us. This place has some serious cleaning up to do and for Gods sake, if you're not going to operate by the words on your own walls then remove them because you're using those words for profit. You will not last long by taking people's money either,...

Cornbread is jiffy I like real cornbread thought with it being small town mostly elderly eating there it would be true cornbread not cake. I told the lady I would like to have seen real cornbread she said it is it's jiffy laughed and walked off. Also I said like to have seen collard greens or cabbage not all fried meat and starchy vegetables they did have greenbeans that was tasty. The meat ok fried chicken shrimp fish and crab bites. She said we do have the collards etc during week weekend is our seafood buffet well shrimp chicken fish crab bites don't add up to seafood buffet to me.
