This is kind of long so I apologize. I was wanting to look for a ramen place, but I found this instead, and I really wanted to try the food. I told my husband about it, and he agreed to take me there, even though he wasn’t hungry at the time. We walk in, and it’s pretty quiet, I believe there was at least one other couple in there, but once we sat down, they left, and it was pretty much dead for the rest of our meal. I ordered the fried pork rice dish (I don’t remember exactly what it was called I’m sorry), and my husband ordered a Vietmanese coffee, since he wasn’t hungry. But the man that took our order seemed to have an attitude once my husband said he only wanted a coffee. I didn’t notice it at first, so we waited for our orders. The coffee was really good, but so was my dish. I couldn’t finish it all so I took it to go home. But once my husband went up to the counter, and called for someone over, I could visibly tell that the man who took our order had an even more bigger attitude. He didn’t say anything, but his actions were not very friendly anymore. After we left, I started to not feel the best. I really didn’t want to blame the food, because I usually have a strong stomach. But the next day, I felt miserably. My husband said it must have been the food, and the man that took our order seemed suspicious. I thought he was over exaggerating, but once he told me the man’s attitude had changed ALOT when my husband went to go pay. I was really sad and couldn’t eat my leftovers that I had brought home. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt, that maybe he was upset because it was slow that day, but my husband wasn’t having it. I enjoyed the food, but I’m worried that now I have some sort of stomach bug. I didn’t eat anything strange before we went, so sadly, me and my husband both concluded, it was Pho Gia’s food. I wish I had a better experience, other than the...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here for dinner just before heading over to Schulman’s MBG. We love Pho and it’s always our go-to for date night. Pho Gia has made date night even more convenient for us, since we no longer have to drive out of town for a delicious bowl of Pho.
He ordered the B1 (Beef Pho) and I opted for C1 (Chicken Pho), plus an order of shrimp spring rolls to share. The Spring Roll came fast and fresh (the rice noodles were still warm 🤤), along with a delicious peanut butter sauce. Just as we finished, our MASSIVE bowls of Pho came and our waiter promptly removed our bits of trash and dirty dishes. He showed me a special sauce meant for dipping my Chicken Pho in, and helped us to assemble our bowls before allowing us to dig in. We found this super helpful as even though we love Pho, we aren’t professionals and definitely needed some direction.
We visited at 5:30 pm on a Friday, and it was quiet the entire time we dined. Staff were very kind and helpful, always going into detail if I had a question. Prices were very good, leaving us to pay less than $40 for our date night meal.
My only regret from visiting Pho Gia was that I didn’t save room to try their boba tea! We grabbed a takeout menu on our way out, and we will definitely be...
Read moreGive it a try!! You will love it!! This was our second visit to the restaurant. The first was about a year ago. The food was okay and the service was good. Last night, we decided to give it another try. It was so good! We learned the current owners are not the same as on our first visit. The new owners have made some very noticeable changes. The menu was much larger with a lot more variety. We started with an order of the grilled pork spring rolls, they were fresh and flavorful. There were 2 in an order and were served with peanut and fish sauce for dipping. For dinner we ordered the beef pho/noodle soup and the grilled pork vermicelli/Bun bowl. The were delicious and large portions. The owner was very willing to let us customize and add grilled shrimp to both dinners. We will definitely come back and bring family and...
