We stopped in on a whim because it was conveniently located and had plenty of parking. We travel across all US states and have had BBQ everywhere we go, so we know some excellentBBQ places. However, this was not one of the good ones.. We ordered a brisket plate with potato salad with baked beans and a three meat plate with brisket, chicken, and sausage with coleslaw and Mac n cheese. I'll start off by saying that the sausage was delicious! It was not spicy or greasy, but it was flavorful. The chicken was sliced and formed much like the brisket, in slab form, which was an odd form for chicken. It was seasoned with chili flakes, which was not what we would care to try again. The brisket seemed old. Like it had been cooked the day or two before and reheated. It crumbled when handled. The taste wasn't horrible. It was alright at best. The mac n cheese was cooked well but tasted rather ordinary. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can. The potato salad was a bit bland and had both large and small size potato chunks, which made it difficult to eat without cutting the larger pieces into smaller bite-sized pieces. We arrived ahead of the crowd, so I'm hoping that our experience was because they had to sell the old meat first. Unfortunately for us.

We had lunch at this restaurant today. When you drive up it doesn’t look like much of a restaurant (more like a gas station). But once inside it’s nice. I had a 2 meat plate (ribs & turkey) with cole slaw and green beans. My wife had the chicken & turkey with mac cheese and green beans. We both thought the food was excellent, tender, and done to perfection. The ribs were possibly the best I’ve ever had. Definitely would recommend this restaurant. Be sure to try the fried desserts.😊. Update 10/5, stopped in this morning and bought our lunch. Noticed they had semi truck parking and wanted to let our Truck Driver and RVer friends know.

While I do live in wallisville, Gator Junction is an awesome little BBQ and small store that serves up some fantastic BBQ. You have many items to choose from and prices are competitive with other restaurants. Gator Junction also has a friendly atmosphere and does a great job of taking care of the customers. I like to call my order in early because of the heat. Stop by if your traveling by on I - 10 East or West bound. Worth the time and money to enjoy some awesome BBQ. 8/05/2023. 11:35 am. Ordered 1 pound of brisket and 1 pound of chicken. Awesome food and good service. Stop by and get some fantastic BBQ.

My husband and I stopped here yesterday on the way home from running errands in Baytown. It's a cute store in a quiet spot, which we liked, as we didn't have to deal with a lot of traffic on the feeder road. There's a lot of parking, and it's easily accessible. For lunch, my husband had the pulled pork plate with mac and cheese and green beans, and I got the sausage plate with mac and cheese and baked beans. The pulled pork was very delicious, tender, and well-seasoned and sausage was amazing, with a delicious smokey flavor. The sausage plate has a very good-sized portion; I was able to take some home and eat later that night. My husband finished his plate, but it definitely filled him up. We received our plates very quickly as well. The store has a cute rustic charm and was very clean, including the parking lot and bathrooms. The workers are very nice and...

Stop in Here BBQ: A Meaty Miracle!

Honestly, one of the best BBQ places I’ve ever stumbled into! I walked in expecting just a meal, but what I got was a flavor explosion. The smoked turkey was so good it almost made me forget I wasn’t at Thanksgiving. The burnt ends? Pure meaty magic—like little flavor bombs that left me questioning my life choices (like why I didn’t order more).

The brisket was tender enough to make me weep tears of joy, and the sausage had a kick that could make a Louisiana boy dance! And let’s not forget the jambalaya—it was on point! I’m pretty sure it just whispered sweet nothings to my taste buds.

If you’re in the area and don’t stop here, you’re doing life wrong. Just be ready to loosen your belt and contemplate your relationship with leftovers!

Oh and say hi to Eli! Great to meet...
