What a fabulous, delicious, local, and amazing little spot this is for a meal! We came straight here from our crystal kayak tour. It was like 3pm on a Tuesday and there was a line to get in. That's how good and popular this place is, as it seems everyone wants to go at any time of day. The fresh looking menu was a good size for a little place like this. Locally sourced items and ingredients were proudly and clearly labeled. I ordered the spinach and kale salad with fried eggs on top. The family ordered other assorted things. After paying and sitting down, the worker came over to find me and let me know they were out of the salad. No biggie, I asked for a hummus wrap instead. Whoops, the salad ingredients are needed for the wrap too. Alright, this time I did a BLT. I was so glad I did! That was the tastiest BLT I've had in a long time, with a delicious aoli spread, perfectly cooked bacon, and amazing artisanal bread. I also decided to keep the fried eggs I ordered too and that added an extra element to my sandwich. And without me asking, the staff realized that the meal I got cost less than the meal I paid for, so they refunded me some cash back as well to be fair about it. So basically there was a problem, the staff worked hard to correct it in a smooth and reasonable way. My wife got pork tacos with flour tortillas (as per the staff recommendation of those over corn tortillas) and loved them. Our pescatarian kid asked for customized kids tacos of rice, beans, and cheese only and the kitchen was happy to accommodate. Everyone that worked there seemed happy, interested in making customers happy, and knowing about the product they sell. Overall, Red River Rockhouse is an incredible little restaurant to hit up after a day of adventure, hiking, or exploring. You'll get an attentive staff and fresh filling local food.

Stopped in here on Black Friday of 2024 after visiting Natural Bridge. The food was far above and beyond what I expected!! I ordered guacamole and chips and the barbacoa burrito fully dressed out with the green sauce. My partner ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with the spicy Colby jack cheese. I lived in El Paso, a stone throw from the Mexico border for 10 years. Rock house definitely had the best barbacoa I've had since moving back to Kentucky in 2018. The meat was fall apart tender, and seasoned extremely well. The burrito was massive and worth every penny and then some. The guacamole is made fresh to order and is delicious!! My partner loved the bacon cheeseburger!! Their food is locally sourced, which i found absolutely fantastic!! There are tons of items for sale, such as jewelry, photography prints, teas, etc, that are all from local folks! In a world of conglomerates, it's refreshing to see a place that invests in their community! If I could give them more stars, I definitely would!! Make the trip through the countryside and stop in! I don't think you'll be disappointed!!

My husband and I recently went to the RRG for a couple of days to rock climb. We stopped at our FAVORITE restaurant, Red River Rockhouse and had a wonderful meal. We receive the best service every time we dine here. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is great, and the people are SO KIND. I accidentally left my purse that had my credit card, passport(I know, not smart lol), my insurance cards, and several other important items at the restaurant, and I didn’t notice until we were home. Did I mention we live THREE hours away?! I called early on Sunday to ask if they had seen it. I explained to the kind man that I lived three hours away and I would be so grateful if he would ship it to me so I wouldn’t have to make the 6 hour round trip. I told him I wanted to pay for the shipping costs so I wouldn’t be a burden. He told me no worries. He sent it and I received it 3 days later! Everything was still there and he didn’t even want me to reimburse the shipping charges! He also sent a sweet greeting and several postcards! I originally loved this place for the awesome food and great atmosphere, (seriously this is BY FAR the best restaurant in the Gorge) but now I love it even more because of the sweet people who run the restaurant! I HIGHLY recommend this place! I will continue to support this business! ❤️ THANK YOU AGAIN RED RIVER...

Honestly, we were disappointed in the food despite all the good reviews. They were out of regular fries, so we opted for sweet potato ones instead. Somehow, they were overcooked (extra crisp and rubbery) and soggy at the same time. The kitchen simply doused them in salt and called it good. The burger was subpar. Just because the ingredients are locally sourced, doesn't mean you shouldn't season them at all. My husband got the chicken tacos and the tortillas were instantly soggy and honestly plain chicken. The tap water tasted pretty chlorinated so if you're not used to that, get bottled water. The flower "vases" were old Ale 81 bottles which is cute, but there was plenty of mold in them to make even looking at them while eating unbearable. The music made the atmosphere have shivers up your spine - organ music playing on top of whatever else they wanted? If the music had just been one song at a time and quieter to blend in to the background that would've been fine, but you can't shut your ears off to that kind of dissonance. Overall, just didn't feel like it was worth what we paid. We did not got drinks but the selection seemed smaller compared to other...
