I was honestly really disappointed in my experience here. I was super excited to come try it out because 1. Everyone said the workers were so nice and 2. They said the food was really good. So I showed up around 7:30pm on a Saturday (the place was not full—there were multiple open seats), and I asked the first lady whom I spoke with what the wait was for one burger to-go. She told me it would be about 20 minutes, so I said I needed to talk to my family (who were waiting for me in the car as we were only driving through beaver to get home). They said go for it, so I walked back up and it was another lady who came up to help me. The conversation started with me asking what came on the “loaded burgers” as a majority of the loaded burgers don’t say what’s on them while many others do. She looked annoyed that I was asking and responded in a really rude tone. She wasn’t trying to be helpful in any way. That was my first negative encounter. I then ordered what I wanted and right before paying she says “it’s going to take at least 35 minutes”, which was to my surprise because I had just spoken to someone else not even 20 seconds earlier who said 20 minutes. So I said, “well the woman I just spoke to before you told me 20” and she proceeded to say “nope at least 35”. So I repeated myself because how do you go from 20 minutes to 35 minutes and no one had come in since I had been there. Not to mention she was cold—not friendly or welcoming at all. I ended up leaving super disappointed in not only the major miscommunication between staff and the confusion in various wait times but the unfriendly environment. I don’t care how good their burgers are—Customer service is #1 to me. If you can’t treat one simple customer kindly then you don’t...
Read moreEveryone should go to Arshel's Loaded Burgers if you are on I-15 driving through Beaver, Utah. The place looks like you'd get a good burger there. Smallish but with 7 or 8 tables. Good signage outside, very clean, chalkboard menu, family vibe. You order at the counter. Even that was a nice experience. They have quite a few specialty burgers but i didn't look at menu just said id like a cheeseburger. The woman taking my order didn't ask if i wanted bacon, or green chili, or list 4 cheese choices. Cheeseburger was enough information for her. Very nice.
My drink came out first. Freshly brewed ice tea. Easy to tell it was freshly brewed but i asked anyway and she smiled and said yes. My burger came a couple minutes later. The patty was caramelized like a smash burger except thicker and juicier. Excellent meaty flavor. Burger was slightly bigger than the excellently shiny bun. Burger was not perfectly round it kind of stuck out in a couple places because THAT'S HOW HOMEMADE BURGERS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE! The fries perfect also. They were hand cut. They weren't big and greasy hand cut fries like Five Guys, nor tasteless hand cut fries like In n Out, but rather they combined the best of those two imperfect fries. Don't miss this place. Has to be best burger in Utah. Oh and another thing. My meal including drink and tax was $13.50. What...
Read moreWhile passing through Beaver, Utah, we stopped for lunch at Arshel’s Loaded Burger. It had gotten great reviews, so we decided to check it out. And it did not disappoint. I went with the Japaleno Bacon Burger, and my wife got a chicken sandwich. I believe it was the Chicken Bacon Ranch. I got a side of the corn chowder soup, which was absolutely magnificent. I love fries, and theirs were great, but if you get an opportunity to get that soup, I would definitely recommend it. Get a side of fries if you must, just TRY THE SOUP! My wife got the fries, so I enjoyed some of hers. They were crispy golden, and well seasoned. The service was fast and friendly, the place was clean, and it had quite a few customers, so I’m guessing it’s a favorite with the locals as well. Definitely worth a stop if you’re hungry and in the area.
A couple things of note: Bring cash if you can. They do charge to use an ATM or credit card. Also, evidently Beaver, Utah was the birthplace of Butch Cassidy! Fun little fact I found out on a framed picture by...
