Ordered Thursday night special X3 for pick up because we had family in town and we normally dine in but we would have taken up all of their tables since they don’t have many of them and no bathroom. (We had a lot of kids) I ordered two hours ahead for pick up and told him all extra cheese and sausage. As he was ringing them in he was talking out loud and kept saying cheese and pepperoni so I corrected him twice saying no all 3 cheese and sausage and he said oh ok ok I’m just having an off day. Now I would never order pepperoni because most of the kids HATE pepperoni and some adults do as well. With that said after picking it up and getting them home to everyone and hungry kids we opened them up and they were all cheese and pepperoni! We did not have time to drive back to Bedford and wait for them to fix it. So everyone picked the pepperoni off. I had my sister in law call them to let them know they messed the whole order up because I was taking care of my own little kids and some young girl answered(Jaquelin maybe) and my sister explained to her what happened and she said no I was standing there when she ordered pepperoni. Not true! No one in the family likes pepperoni (most everyone). She then said we should have just dined in there wouldn’t have been a problem. My sister told her there were not enough tables and no bathrooms so we chose take out this time. (With small children and no bathrooms that would have been a nightmare). The girl then said if you’re gonna bash our place then don’t eat here and hung up! Yes hung up! My sister called back and a guy answered and was just as rude and nasty and also hung up. I and my family love the pizza there and spend a lot of money and dine in a few times a month there. But after that experience and rudeness we will not be back and neither will any of my other family members that come multiple times a month as well (after they heard what happened). I know it’s hard to get good employees but the owner needs to really get rid of some of them and get new ones. We did not want our money back at all either. We wanted to let them know about the issue and maybe were hoping for a coupon for our next visit or just a I’m sorry. That’s all.. I do not recommend eating here...
Read moreWe recently visited one of the Grecco's establishments located between Bloomington and Bedford. When we went in we were the only customers in there and we were greeted nicely, we placed our order then we realized they had no public restrooms. I asked why that was and was told that by a young man that he didn't like to clean public restrooms. Wow. I then asked, what if you had some kind of health issues such as Crohns, not that any of us did, but I have a good friend who does and wondered what she would do if she had stopped there to eat, and he told me that they keep their safe in the restroom, that if we needed to use the restroom we would have to see if the bow shop next door was still open,( why should your customers have to go next door and use their restroom when we are not doing business with them?) if so we could use their restroom. He finally said well I can let you use it this time, but I will have to go lock the safe. He then came back and said ok you can come back now, but we couldn't do this again. I told him to never mind that we wouldn't use it. He said ok and slammed the door going back into the kitchen area. We then heard him back there talking to his fellow employees about it and if we had not of had to pay first we would have left. When the gal delivered our pizza to the table, I said thank you and she just walked away without saying anything to us. She did bring plates to our table, but no napkins, or forks. I have eaten at the Bedford location and noticed they don't have a public restroom as well, but our service there was wonderful. We paid after we ate. We has silverware and napkins and fountain drinks with free refills. The one we were at Friday night had bottle drinks. On a good note the pizza was very good. I would give it 4 stars, but the service and the attitude was awful. I would rate it 1. I hope they get better help or that store may not survive and what a shame...
Read moreHaving ate at the Mitchell location, I really wanted to try the original location here in Bedford.
Upon entering the restaurant, we were told we could sit wherever we wanted. The restaurant was clean. We chose our table as the only patrons in the restaurant (11am). Waitress took our drink order. We received our drinks really quick. Placed our order around 11:07. During our wait for our order there were 2 carry outs that must have called ahead. We didn't receive our food until 11:40. Not impressed with the amount of time we had to wait.
The breadsticks came first and unfortunately they didn't have the crispness that those at Mitchell have. They have a flaky crispy snap to those. These here in bedford were just a chewy dough. Flavor was still good. Cheese has a bit of spice. The pizza was a thinner crust (personal pan, pepperoni) dough had good flavor, sauce had good flavor. Cheese was a bit on the greasy side. Pepperoni had a nice spice to them. The crust of the pizza had that flaky, crispness that I so desired on those breadsticks. All in all the pizza was on point. Very good pizza. A tad greasy.
Much to my disappointment the Waitress was nice. All the 1 star reviews suggest a rude customer service, so I was kinda looking forward to that, unfortunately she was pleasant. Better luck next time I suppose.
Pros: Really good pizza. Fantastic crust. Fair price. Nice waitstaff.
Cons: Doughy breadsticks (need the same snap the pizza crust has), longer than expected wait for food, nice waitstaff.
All in all it was a great experience. I love the dated feel of this restaurant, nice big windows, excellent pizza. Check them out if you havent yet. It's...
