I have been wanting to come here for sometime. I've never really had flavored Ciders before only Angry Orchard. Burnt Mills Cider Company is located on top of a huge hill right off 206 North in Bedminster. Burnt Mills gets its name from a reference to a section of town with an impressive bit of Revolutionary-era history. They drew a connection with the local area and with their state's long history of cider making. As I drove up you can see a huge parking lot. Rows and rows of cars. You will definitely have to do some walking. This place gets very busy on weekends especially in the summertime. They have some outdoor seating with picnic tables surrounded by a fire pit.The outdoor space is open Spring through Fall. You can also bring your own blankets and chairs. It's a great place to have an adult birthday party or get together. During the day I saw children playing outside. You can play corn hole, make s'mores or just take in some sun. Dogs are allowed. Burnt Mills doesn't serve food. They do have a Food Truck that comes on site. You can also order food from a local restaurant and have it delivered, or bring in your own food. You can not bring in your own alcohol. They have a small outdoor bar. You can also go inside to their 1000 square ft tasting room. They have a larger bar, televisions and communal tables. They sell Flagship cans of cider to take home and they sell Branded Merch. They have Specialty Ciders on Tap. The ciders are seasonal. There's some that are year round. Burnt Mills has Oak Walls that were made on the premises using the wood from trees that were harvested during construction. I had two bartenders. The first was Matt. He was very happy and explained the different ciders. My other bartender was Tory. She and Matt worked together to help expedite the line. My favorite cider was Blackcurrant ABV 5.5%. It's made with Fresh New Jersey Blackberries and oh so good. My next favorite cider was Sour Cherry Cider. ABV 5.5%. It's made with montmorency and balaton cherries, this cider is a little tart with balancing sweetness on the finish. I also tried their Pineapple Express Cider- ABV 5.5%. A dry cider with just a touch of sweetness from organic pineapple juice. Next I tried Ginger Cider ABV 5.5%. Made with organic ginger juice. This cider has kick! Then onto Jersey Peach Cider ABV 5.5%. Hazy and unfiltered, with a hint of almonds, and made with fresh peaches from nearby Melick's Farm. Last but not least the seasonal Jersey Blue Cider. It's made with fresh blueberries. It was nice to get their samplers . This way I could taste several different ciders. Burnt Mills has really taken cider to another level. I will definitely be returning and highly...

We were so excited to finally go to a restaurant that was pet friendly, however it quickly became apartment that this was not that venue despite what we read online. After sitting in the outdoor area with our very friendly and social dog, everyone was petting and interacting with her and we felt like it was all ok. That was when a man walked by with a husky, our dog let out a couple friendly barks, which immediately caught the manager Matt's attention. We were then approached and immediately told to leave the premises (our dog was calm and settled). When we took a moment to gather our things, he approached again (about a minute later) and told us we had to go right away in an aggressive tone and loudly enough that most of the restaurant (including all of our party of 20+) could hear clearly. I tried to speak to him about the situation but was dismissed rudely and told that the rules are at his discretion. He later informed us that he knew nothing about dogs, but she barked so he deemed that "aggressive" and regularly kicks out any dog that barks at all. In addition there was no discretion about raising his voice in an aggressive manner. I would encourage all dog owners to simply treat this venue as you would any other restaurant and disregard their claims about pet friendliness, they only tolerate dogs that pass as service animals.

PS. The few sips of cider we got to drink before we were asked to leave were really good, however we were not allowed to finish nor allowed a refund, so that tainted the...

This message is directly towards the staff and ownership! This is hands down one of our favorite places to hang out at! We’re their at least once a week. The staff makes us feel so welcomed and always having a conversation with us. To the owner, I did ask you what it would take for you to continue canning Cider donut throughout the year. I’m still waiting for an answer! You guys are seriously the best group of people at any brewer we’ve been to!

To the consumers- this is hands down some of the best cider Nj has to offer, we’ve been to a lot of the local spots and hands down, this is the best. We keep coming back week after week! Cider donut is in my opinion their best flavor. My wife being a born Brit LOVES the black currant! Pineapple, sour cherry, pear and of course mango berry is just as good! We hope this place continues to thrive and expand! If you are questioning going to this establishment, stop and just go. You won’t be disappointed! With the warmer weather coming up, I can’t wait to just sit out in the sun on a comfortable chair and just hangout with good people! The atmosphere is always positive...

Looking for a great autumn day with your friends (who are 21 and older)? Then Burnt Mills is your place. But get there at (or before) opening. The good parking fills up quickly here and the earlier you arrive, the better choices of places to stake out for the afternoon. Of course, it is weather dependent, even though you can sit and drink outside, the real ambiance is the lawn. They have chairs, fire pits, lawn games and more. It is a really family friendly place, but the highlight is all of the different ciders you can try. My friends love getting the same flights and drinking them together for reviews. Make sure to bring your snacks and own comforts and enjoy this treasure in the hills of Chester, NJ. On weekends they usually have a food truck if you don't wanna bring your own eats. And if you really like a cider, you can buy a can or a growler and bring it home with you.

Beautiful and peaceful location. The staff members are so nice and gave great suggestions. I’m not the biggest hard cider fan but it was a wonderful experience regardless. Love that they have flights, giving us the opportunity to try out four different flavors. I think my favorite was the Sour Cherry which is a seasonal flavor. Unfortunately they don’t sell those in cans yet! Nowadays, I do like to comment on COVID situations and they do really well on social distancing with the expansive outdoor seating area. Staff members do not wear masks now but honesty, the indoors doesn’t feel as stuffy as you’d think it might. I had my mask on while indoors but felt safe enough to pull it down while chatting and ordering my drinks.
