I had the smoked prime rib, wife had a ribeye. Wife's steak was grilled to perfection and her asparagus was good.

After an initial misstep bringing me a well-done prime rib, the waitress got me sorted and brought out a wonderful, perfectly medium rare prime rib for me. It is topped with a roasted garlic topping that was delicious, but honestly, I think it's unnecessary. It'd be great on the steaks though!

I had the cheesy hashbrowns and borscht as sides. Both were delicious.

I really wasn't expecting this place to be very good. I've been to too many small-town restaurants that would have closed long ago if they had literally any competition. These guys don’t just make good food, they do gourmet! The gravy on the hamburger steak starts with cooking a mirepoix, adding an au jus and then adding onions and mushrooms that have been sautéed in a red wine sauce. That just for the hamburger steak!!!! Which I ordered medium rare, and it was cooked to perfection. The cheesy hash browns are madly amazing, the bell pepper soup delicious, and the homemade bleu cheese dressing for the salad was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. We’re just passing through, so we may never be able to try the many other things on the menu people rave about. I find that tragic. Skip Medora and stop here! Bar atmosphere but delicious food. We were staying down the street at the campground and coming home from TR National Park. None of the places in Medora had a NY Strip, which is the only steak I eat. My steak here was very juicy and perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband had the prime rib and like the other reviewers said, it would be better without the topping. However both great and we were pleasantly surprised. The soup and asparagus were very good.
