Honeypops Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bella Vista

We went to HoneyPop's on a Saturday night (5/10/25) and had a table of eight. One of us called earlier during the day to ensure we would have a table and if possible outside. We had a table outside when half of us arrived at 6 pm, but we could tell that we would need another table. One of the waitresses said we could grab an available table and put it next to our setup. Out of the question - this is the staff's responsibility. Do not ask your patrons to do the work.

The first four of us ordered drinks and it took a while (yes they were busy). The margaritas got mixed up (one was a double premium and the other a single well) and we couldn't determine who had what. They fixed it by comping the premium margarita.

The second group of four arrived and ordered their drinks. It took a while. We asked for silverware for the first time.

30-45 minutes later our food came out. No silverware - asked for the second time. My girlfriend received chicken fried steak when she ordered chicken fried chicken. She wanted to keep it and not have to wait for a return order. Waited for silverware about 5-10 minutes. Her food was cold. My friend ordered the chicken fried steak and his was cold too. My steak frites were lukewarm.

Wrapping up dinner we had our bill split between parties and gratuity was included since it was eight of us. There shouldn't be a tip line when gratuity is already included in the bill.

I loved the atmosphere of the place but this was overshadowed by the food and service experience. Credit that it was a busy evening, but there were too many small cuts in the evening that prompted my negative outlook. I was so excited to try this place out. I heard such amazing things about it. I decided to take my husband and our kids out on Father's Day and at first impression having a host saying they didn't have a time on how long it could be to be seated was unprofessional. I decided to still stay and eat. It took over 40 mins to be seated. They cleaned our table and didn't even have kids menus because they ran out and said they were printing more but we never received them. they sat there hungry with no appetizer or bread to snack on or anything to color. I ordered the onion petals as an appetizer but the plate was so tiny you barely got any it was a very sad portion for how over priced it was. That's another thing they need to change the website online to the current prices actually on menu because everything was higher than what was advertised online. We got our drinks and had to ask for refills. An hour passed we never got checked on and we still hadn't received our food. It took over an hour to receive 2 Mac n cheese which was watered down and not good and my steak fritz that was "maybe 6 oz of steak " with a ton of fries didn't even fill me up and for $24 that's ridiculous. Oh and they forgot our daughter's food and we had to get up and get someone to ask why we hadn't received her food yet? I'm sure 1. Yes they were busy but I've been to busy restaurants and still have received amazing service. 2. Understaffed I think so or maybe just not seasoned staff. As a first time customer and last time. This place was great! We had a good time the food was excellent and they had dueling guitars out back for entertainment. It was a nice change of pace from the other restaurants in the Ozarks. It was a little more upscale but not too much. Where you had to worry about what you're wearing or things like that. We were there for a benefit dinner. I got the brisket it was delicious and tender. The service was lacking however. My waitress forgot my silverwear and took forever to get it to me all the while my food was getting cold. Then when she came back she forgot it again. I don't know what her deal was but I was getting ready to have management step in to send my food under the warmers. Other than that it was a great experience. And I think we just got a bad waitress the other patrons seemed to be taken good care of by their waitstaff.
