We went here on a very busy Friday night. To be honest, based on what I saw here it seemed like it was probably much busier than they are normally used to. That being said, we waited about 10-20 minutes to get a table, which wasn't that bad. However, when we walked in there was a line backed up to the door. Luckily my wife asked other people in line what was going on, and they told us to wait in the line for a table. There was what looked like a hostess stand with a person behind it, but that seemed to only be where people pick up their to-go orders, which made the whole thing really confusing. Even though there appears to be a waiting area, nobody used it because we were all standing in the line waiting to be seated which meant we were all crowding the door. My wife immediately went to the bar to try to get a couple of drinks while we waited. Nobody seemed to actually be working behind the bar, nobody took a drink order from her nor even greeted either of us. We were actually seated before she could order a drink. I don't know if all of this is related to the current ongoing staff shortages or if it's always going to be like that, but these were fairly minor issues to us even though all of it seems like a mistake to me. That being said, 2 older ladies in front of us walked out, and I think some other people that came in behind us also left. Once we got seated, we got drinks fairly quickly. They brought chips and salsa and some kind of a cream dip. My wife liked the cream dip and I thought the salsa was delicious. My wife ordered a "pick 3" combo, and I ordered a "pick 3 veggie combo". I also tried to order a side of chile releno, but there was a large language barrier with the server so I never actually got it. Eventually I figured out the server wasn't really proficient in English so I started to use Google translate, and that made a big difference. The most important thing was the food, and I thought it was delicious. My wife thought her margarita was one of the best she's had in a very long time. I thought the beer was slightly warm. The service was acceptable to me, but to be honest they would have sold us more drinks had they checked in a few more times when our drinks were getting low. Overall though, I'll definitely go back. It's a good...
Read moreThis is our 4th bad experience in a row over a 90 day period. Went for lunch around 1pm Sunday. Maybe 3-4 tables. With 3 different servers. Our salsa arrived frozen. A red ice cube. The waitress brought new salsa. Service was so slow. Queso arrived cold. Then I received the wrong order, but our waitress was nowhere to be found and never checked on us. Without speaking to us, she showed up with my correct order after we were essentially done eating. She took our plates away. Never came back. We waited 25 minutes after the plates were cleared to get a check. We eventually just had to go stand at the hostesses station to get a bill. The previous times. We sat for over 30+ minutes each time before anyone brought a menu. So we walked out every time. It was slow Sunday, we thought we'd give it a chance. And it was a nightmare. None of the staff said one word to us. Horrible experiences. Repeatedly. Worth a review at this point. My original review 11 months ago I gave it 5 stars, still noted very slow service even then- but that was at the height of when everyone was short staffed and I was more understanding. Sad to see its just how...

I NEVER get what I order. This last time I ordered some type of squash burrito, and instead got one full of peppers, and wouldn’t you guess it, nothing it listed on the menu was in it.
This is the third time this has happened… I know this town has no competition, but really?
I’m starting to get the feeling this menu wasn’t even written by anyone working at this location. Some franchise thing you can’t be bothered to get right? The pictures are not even their food, so don’t expect to get what is shown.
I can even provide an example! Your fish tacos are not the picture in the menu. :) Its not prepared in that way, and will arrive plain and shredded.
Photos from google, perhaps?
The rice may as well be white rice, too. Ive never had unseasoned Spanish rice?
I don’t believe anyone reviewing this favorably has ever eaten anywhere that wasn’t already in Belle Plaine.
Out here, thats not...
