Golden Plaza — Restaurant in Belle Valley

My husband and his grandma took me to The Golden Plaza yesterday since they had been telling me how great it was for a while. I was not impressed, sad to say. We all ordered the specials and waited around 20 minutes for our drinks. Then after another 10 or 15 we were brought our salads, and my husbands looked awful. Just a few clumps of lettuce and a slice of tomato thrown on a paper plate. My salad was alright though. After we had been there an hour, our lunch, now dinner, finally arrived. All 3 steaks were overcooked and tough and had the wrong fries, although the shrimp was good. We had to go to the bar to ask for A-1, ketchup and shrimp sauce, which meant another wait while our food got cold. When we paid our check, we were asked how our food was, and I honestly answered, we were not satisfied. The cook, also the owners daughter, asked if we ate it. We replied yes. Ok so look I never write a review but it was a must! My husband and I drove in town from Roanoke Va to meet some family and when we got there we looked like a deer in headlights and because it was late the kitchen was closed. Tttthhheeennnn the sweet ladies said I can make a hot dog we can cook but I saw the reviews about the chicken and that’s what we got really excited about and bummed because we couldn’t get it, so we thought ttthheenn the other lady said y’all sit down we have some chicken, fries and slaw Ooommmgg y’all I was jumping up and down in excitement because we got we came for and bbbooy was it worth the wait, the drive and they had this lady there that sells delicious dessert so it was a much to get the pineapple upside down cake and then fluffy cookies. I’ve NEVER had a cookie like this before!

Yall stop reading this and go get some chicken RITE NA! This is definitely a must stop for us...
