Los Primos Mexican restaurant — Restaurant in Belleville

The kind of place one honestly has to appreciate! The local town citizens were congregated, cackling and competing to communicate their selves in such privileged ways. E.g. purporting and positing the most beautiful places they have visited in Mexico. Meanwhile, the service employees at Los Primos are doing little salsa dances to the whites, and since this place used to be a gas station - pumps still outside for provenance - the pump is on, but for food and drinks. Huge portions of rice, beans, chips, salsa, huge drink cups, and even huge portions of very homogenous guacamole 🥑. The bright colors reflect the mood indeed and the food as Mexican cuisine must be, is standard and consistent. The food is delicious. The one experience I had in the restaurant was disconcerting. I'm a woman, obviously so, but the waiter persisted in calling me "Senor". I had told him I wanted to practice my Spanish, and it prompted that return. The other day I called ahead to order food, and I asked the person on the phone if it were possible to bring the food out to the car as my husband only has one foot and has difficulty walking on his prosthetic. I tried several times to ask, and he sounded like he agreed but my husband ultimately had to get out of the car. Language seemed to be a barrier that time. So My wife and I were visiting a friend in Concordia KS. She suggested we go to Los Primos. I agreed to go even thou I’m allergic to Peppers, so I can’t eat many Mexican foods. Usually I get tacos. But lately even tacos are getting peppers put in them. Love that their menus list almost all ingredients. So I must have been tired cause I didn’t see tacos so I decided to have the cheesy steak burrito. Made sure the waiter knew i was allergic. And that was the best meal we had on our trip!
