Brookside Pizza II — Restaurant in Belmont

I have to be honest here, last year I bought a pizza and it wasn't very good. Sorry, Mike, but it's the truth. I blame the COVID bs because NO PLACE I WENT TO WAS ANY GOOD! With that being said, Mike has been working his Butt off and has made a huge comeback!! Belmont, NH needs to clone this man!! I've been back several times and every time has surpassed my expectations! Tap burger was delicious, fries were the best I've had in awhile, Hawaiian pizza was awesome, and the mango habanero chicken wings were to die for!! Seriously!! Those wings were the best I ever had!!! Now, if you're like the person who wrote the wings were overcooked, perhaps you think those slimy, sauce soaked, half cooked wings they pass off at other places are the way they're supposed to be. NOT SO! I love the fact Mike takes the time to actually cook the sauce into the wings, leaving just enough browning on them to make them oh so delectable! As for the waitstaff, they have ALWAYS been kind, courteous, and doing their best especially through all the rough times every small business has experienced through the "plandemic". If not, I would've told Mike. It's been a rough ride and it continues to be a rough ride for many small businesses. I am so grateful Brookside II and Tap House have survived!! I wish I were able to work because I'd be right over to help them out!! ...

Lately I have been very disappointed with Brookside. They used to do a great job with no complaints. Now-a-days, not so much! Let me explain...

1. I was very excited when they started delivery, however I have only had one or two good encounters... It takes forever, the food is cold, and I get charged for paying with a credit card over the phone!!

2. Order accuracy has gone down the toilet. Tonight was the straw that broke the camel's back. I ordered a LARGE order of cheese fries, received a SMALL. I was asked if I wanted ranch dressing, I said "yes please, a few of them". I received ONE. I ordered a sub with EXTRA pickles, I GOT ONLY THREE!!! Come on people, is it really that hard?

3. They now charge for everything! An extra dollar for paying with a CC over the phone, delivery charge because the drivers weren't getting tipped, charged for pickles on a sub, charged for cheese when ordering a steak AND CHEESE sub. I am surprised they don't charge for the paper bag they put your food in.

I don't know what happened with this location, but can assure you that I will now be going to Tilton or Laconia areas for my take out. One or two errors can be understood, nobody is perfect... However almost every time I order now, something is wrong. Enough is enough. The only reason I am not giving a 1-star rating is because my wife loves...

Stopped in for lunch, large menu board, probably 80 items, select a small American, chip, Coke, total is $17.97, so I ask for a receipt, I ask her how much is the small American, she says $10.99, but that is not what the menu board says, she tells me those prices aren't actually the real price, in this case a $2 dollar up charge, then $3 dollars each for a soda and a chip, what, you can't post a price and up the cost hoping it doesn't get noticed by the customer, she says " we operate as a third party", what is that supposed to mean, you can't do that, it's against the law, so I say I'll pay for the coke cause I opened it, I don't want the rest, then he tried to cheat me out of another dollar on my refund. Avoid this shady business. Time to contact the BBB and the bike week committee so they can warn visitors or at least not carry their advertisement in...
