Went with some friends to check out some live music (Cowpokes) at American legion. While I was there, a friend ordered some quesadillas and a side of Smoked green beans. Coming from California, I am skeptical of Mexican food with a side of country food... but I was Hungary.. so I tasted the quesadilla.. to my surprise, it was REALLY GOOD! It’s not at all traditional or Mexican but it is not trying to be. It is a really good southern take on a Mexican staple.. moving on, I had to see what my friend was so into these green beans... normally, I only eat green beans to pretend I am eating healthy.. these green beans had me questioning veggies across the board.. have I been missing out all this time? I have never heard of smoked green beans but there I was ordering my own and one more side to take home to my wife... I ended up also ordering 20 wings (to share) and was able to taste the pizza. Everything was very very good. With prices low enough to order extra to share at your table. Do yourself a favor and find a way to get you some smoked green beans and I can all but guarantee you will challenge yourself to make it through his entire menu within a year!! You’re welcome people!...

The loaded potato has cheese, sour cream, and a VERY generous helping of pulled pork. Definitely enough to be an entree by itself. The brisket was pull-apart tender. Cornbread was ideal by itself or dipping in that brisket juice. The porkchop sandwich is a very good sized porkchop on a bun and there are several condiments to top it with, though we just had some of the Coop's BBQ sauce and a few peperoncinis on the side. I thought it'd be hard to eat because of the size, but the meat was exactly the right amount of tender. We followed the meals up with a couple slices of classic Apple and cherry pie. Very enjoyable! The staff were very friendly.

The seating is outdoors, mostly picnic tables. There are a few tables with stools. The area is covered by a shelter with more tables under an awning. It started raining while we were there and it wasn't uncomfortable. Fun for the kids who were watching the little birds and played on the tire swing just before we left.

Great food. Fun experience. We'll...

Terrible experience and I hate to assume why me and my husband was treated so bad first of all we were passing by and decided to fo there because its look inviting . First thing she says is we close soon so the menu is limited we said okay and made an order we asked about side and she said only a part of the sides I had to ask for mac (which had no cheese) then on top of that theydont take card but have a atm there so as we were using the atm a worker came over and turned and decided to let the water run out the barrel while we stood there we got drenched and complaned and she said " well we do close at 7and my issue is she could of refused or service and was beyond rude about us getting wet we asked for money back 3 min later and she refused and said our food is ready ...terrible experience and will nevergo back Im sure they trat others better im thinking we was treated the way they think we should be .I advise no brown people...

I moved from Georgia to Wisconsin a year ago, and really have been missing good non-chain BBQ. I found out about this place by an acquaintance who suggested that I come by when I was in the area. I sure am glad I did. Portions were good, and the prices fair. Sides of slaw and beans were healthy and food was served at a good temperature. Only thing lacking is for is a few more sides to choose from for variety like black eyed peas, green beans or fries. The ambience of the recent expansion gave some reprieve from direct sunlight, and a nice cross-breeze kept the bugs at bay. Topped off my lunch with a piece of apple pie that was delicious, made me wish I had a scoop of vanilla ice-cream! Definitely will be back if I am in the area, and might make the 3 hour drive on a whim in the future if I get a hankering for good BBQ!

First time customers. Easy online ordering. You are given a choice pickup times. There us a lane for online orders. Quick, attentive service once you drive up. My only ding was for not enough BBQ sauce on the 1/2 rack. Didn't see that option during the online ordering process. Will have to pay closer attention next time. I liked the mac 'n cheese, baked beans and corn bread. The coleslaw was...meh. The ribs were cooked just right for me and tasted great, but would have enjoyed them more with more sauce. We'll be in the area for a while and will be back to check out other menu items.
