Medix Hotel — Restaurant in Benezette Township

On Sept 10, my husband stopped for a bag of ice for our little guy who got stung as we were shutting the last gate from a private lane off of Winslow. Jess immediately gave a bag of ice, and asked if we needed him checked out as she was a first responder. Luckily both my mother and I are EMTs and already had Benadryl and Zyrtec on board less than 5 minutes from sting. This past Saturday my mother, my daughter, and I drove up yeah to see some elk, but mostly to say thank you to Jess. We had never stopped at the hotel for a bite to eat so this was the first but it won't be the last. Food was great. Jess was our server on the patio. Thank you again Jess for going the extra mile. We REALLY used to love coming here on our annual benezettee trip. the last two times were horrible. Last year we waited an hour and a half for 3 burgers, place wasn't busy. The owner didn't care, and the waitresses ended up paying for our meal because they thought it was wrong as well! This time, we ordered a 14$ sampler platter, and it was absolutely disgusting and SO SMALL, maybe 8 pieces in it. My husband asked for the check, and the lady asked if the girl could get her table (us) the check, and she screamed NO at the top of her lungs. We stayed 9/12 and had planned on adding a night to our stay but once we got to the room and common area we changed our minds. The floor in the room had not been cleaned. It was filthly and not fit to walk on in socks or bare feet. Pebbles, dead bugs, gross! The light fixture in the ceiling was full of dead bugs (it happens, but clean it up). I ended up laying a blanket on the floor so if our little guy got up in the middle of the night he had somewhere semi-clean to walk.

The "coffee bar" in the common area had a pot 1/4 full of moldy coffee. The mini-fridge had something spilled and sticky in the bottom.
