This place needs help from BAR Rescue. Ordered my $8.00 gin n tonic at the bar and had to deliver my ordered for my roast beef sandwich to the cook. I placed my drink on the counter top and placed a couple of bucks in the tip jar. Then I went to grab my drink and it was gone. I asked the cook what happen to my drink, no replied so I made sure, I got his attention. The cook reached behind the counter and gave me my drink back. What's wrong with this picture. I'm tipping him and he is stealing my drink ? I confronted him but didn't want him to f%$# up my sandwich, so I reminded him of my tip and let it go. Sandwich suck but the little bad of chips that came with it...for $12.00:never will a buy a so called meal here. The music is cool, however they really could use some help restoring the patio. PA is right in your face set up. The sticky outdated bar hasn't been cleaned in ages. $8 for any drink second one was a New York ice tea for my moneys worth. Four Bartenders behind the BAR who are wasted, getting high on their own supply, so the wait is long. Behind the Bar is a mess!! Dirty outdated and in need of a major repairs. The floor looks like This whole place looks like " Katrina" hit it hard. This is a place for American Pickers. Hold your breath if you have to use the rest room, a lady friend said there is no privacy in the girls room. I thought state code required all bathrooms to have vents, oh this warehouse probably got around it by a " grandfather clause". Oh the locals are pretty touching about anyone else expect the local BAR flies sitting at the front table. My self I just shine them on: however, the later the day gets the more the local drunks get defensive about their BAR flies sitting with them. So I eventually gave up and left the BAR flies to there tuff. All dressed up and with never a drink, a dizzy blonde came on to me, hey how about a drink...? No thanks !! Mickey mouse setup at the most needs major remodel...
Read moreOne of the worst places I've ever been during all my travel...I walked in on a Wed night... bar was empty.... bartender was talking a younger gentleman, to which I gathered they were acquainted... bartender put no attention to my whatsoever... I should have just walked away.. but then again... how can I truly experience place if I don't actually spend enough time... so I opted to wait... and wait... and wait some more...... funny thing about time is when you are waiting ... even if it only is for 3- 5 min.. it feels like just wasted two hrs... she finally came over....seemed like she was angry at the fact I was there... she was rude and offered no apology for the wait.. didn't even smile... I felt like she was more obligated to assist me...... I truly want to pull the race card... but from her looks I figure she has to have some asian background. ... NOW... that is just my personal perspective... later on a young gentleman came in with two children.... it was obvious they were related... and really CANNOT pull the race card.... the gentleman is darker complexion then mine... will just leave it at that... they started talking about the children's mother.. .. and I was complete ignored once more... later on a couple of young ladies show up and she was very friendly with them, perhaps they were acquainted, either way... it is time like this I wish there was a minus...
Read moreThe Warehouse Cafe, the building is an historic landmark of the early days of Port Costa. It sits right next to the water and from across the view, Benicia homes could be seen on a nice sunny day. From what I was told, early on in the 1800's(forgotten exactly the years), the Warehouse Cafe was not exactly a cafe but more like a brothel for local and mainly men visiting as their ship took port near by. Now its still has the rooms they had back then but minus the professional women of the sex industry. The rooms could be reserved and guests may check in, if there are some vacancy. Downstairs, in the cafe, from the years of many random decoration, the Warehouse really has a character of its own. With 200 (or maybe more today) worldwide bottled lagers and ales and all the dark beers you haven't heard of, I would recommend visiting this bar or even have a nice lobster and steak dinner and witness historys landmark and enjoy the service it provides in...
