Common Place Eatery — Restaurant in Bennington

Great small-town New Hampshire diner/restaurant. (I have always believed that any restaurant that is open from 6am-2pm qualifies as a diner, regardless of the building design, the name on the sign, or the location.) Breakfast & lunch only (as foretold by the 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. hours of operation). Very "hometown" feeling -- like if you went there between 6-8am, you'd get to meet The Locals. I love this kind of place. In fact, I seek them out and I did so with this eatery. My mom and I were making a trip that we'd never made before, so I just googled (in Google Maps) restaurants along the route and the Common Place Eatery was the obvious choice! The menu should suit all tastes ~ "there's something for everyone"! Prices were comparable to similar establishments. We would definitely, without hesitation, stop here again if we find ourselves in Bennington NH. Easy to locate, in a super quaint NH village. My father and I worked at the Monadnock Paper Mill half a mile from here today so we came for lunch. This was one of the best eating experiences I have had in a long time. If you are looking for the best english muffin burger around, look no further than the uncommon burger, quite possibly the best burger I have ever had. My father got the Rachel and gave no less than a ringing indorsement, saying it was "scrumdiddlyumptious". We ate at noon and are both still full around dinner time. This is the best place to get breakfast by far! Jeff makes the best home fries and home made corn beef hash! He makes amazing pancakes, French toast, eggs, eggs Benedict, I could go on and on! Fresh home made delicious pastries in the basket at the front that change here and there! Fresh made home made delicious pies! Amazing lunches as well! If you haven’t tried this place, even if it’s just a little drive away, you are missing out for sure!
