Quaint family run diner near the airport. The Flying pig serves sandwiches and pizza, you can get dine in or carryout. They had delivery at one time, but since reopening after the pandemic they no longer have delivery (or at least not yet). The staff is friendly and were having fun working. I enjoyed not only the food but the atmosphere as well. My husband got the chicken, cheddar, bacon hoagie while I got the Italian Meatball. They were much larger than anticipated and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sandwiches come with a side of macaroni salad or coleslaw and chips. My husband and I both got macaroni salad for our side and the chips are the Great Lakes brand which is made in Traverse City. But try them because the food is great, also its expensive and they don't have a pop machine like you're going to pay around 15 bucks for your food per person and they hand you a can of pop or bottle water they can't even give you glasses with ice, that...
Read moreSome coworkers and I found out a couple weeks ago what we've been missing after driving past this place for years. Good service and some of, if not 'the', best sandwiches in the area! Not just huge, but packed with flavor (no bland, cheap "foodservice" ingredients, as far as I can tell). So far, we've had the Parmesan meatball, the Italian Philly steak, the olive burgers, and gyros. We've already been there twice this week, and it's only Wednesday?! Can't wait until "winter hours" when they're open later so I can pick up a pizza on my way home from...
