Place looks absolutely adorable and picturesque. Well kept and maintained and had us excited to dine in! Hostess was very kind and so was our server. Overall the atmosphere and the people were lovely.
But the food…perhaps we didn’t order the “right” things but… I got the fettuccine alfredo and had to be the worst I’ve ever had. I’m basic af and have had a lot. Something about the cheese they melted on top of this, how it tasted and how it conjoined the noodles and the sauce together lead to a textural nightmare. Had me wondering if Chef Mic made it.
But I thought hey, I’M the one who got pasta at the burgers and fries joint. I can take the L…
However, my husband got the impossible burger bc he is a vegetarian. We’re reasonable and understand that people are still figuring out how to store it and cook it. So when it came out super dry, he figured “eh! Happens all the time”. The real nightmare happened when we got home. His stomach was churning, he was/is feeling sick, and he ended up throwing up. We’re guessing it was cross contaminated and not properly handled/stored.
They should take the impossible burger off the menu if it can’t be cooked safely or please train your cooks properly. Getting sick from food isn’t fun!!
So. Don’t get the pasta or the impossible burger. Spinach and artichoke dip was...
Read moreSoooo…not so good. To start, the drinks and appetizers were good. And then the wheels fell off, and the we just flat lost the axle, transmission, and whatever else could have gone wrong.
I ordered a burger medium rare. It came out well, WELL done, as in a a piece of shoe leather. Another order was for a burger with the “fixin’s” on the side…but came out with nothing but cheese. Took a while for the server to bring what we asked for, and mustard never did show up. When I asked for a re-do of my burger another server said..”nope, we don’t do that here. well done only.” But then came back and said that they actually would? 🤷🏽. Whatever. Burger came out second time just as bad or worse than the first. I indicated that I didn’t want to pay for it, and the server assured me it was taken care of.
And then….oh boy. I’ve seen stuff like this on FB or other social media…but our receipt actually had the words “we got a weird one” typed onto it. Seriously? When confronted (in a nice way) the server said “oh…can I have that back? That’s an inside joke with my friends.” Seriously? You just said that!?!? Manager was mortified and apologized profusely which was appreciated and we didn’t pay for dinner. Appreciated that. Not good. Steer clear...
Read moreBait and switch. Website claims to offer the Impossible Burger, the miraculous new meat-substitute. I called ahead, they said they had them. Got there, ordered, ten minutes later I got multiple explanations as to why they didn't have them: (1) they just served the last one; (2) the manufacturer discontinued them. Both excuses given multiple times by different people. (E.g. "I think we just put the last one on the table.") Manager suggested other menu items, but offered no concessions or discounts. Of course I can't be certain there was dishonesty here (though I did catch the waitress in one white lie) but this smelled like classic bait-and-switch: offer one thing before you arrive, try to sell you something else after you get there.
Leaving it on the menu, not to mention telling callers they have it, for months after they can't get any from their supplier, is unethical. That's the bait part. Offering other menu items, and doing nothing to make amends for running out, that's the switch part.
My advice: be honest and accurate about what you can and can't do, don't make up stories to appease, make amends when you screw up, and maybe you'll do...
