The atmosphere of this shop is amazing and it's a lovely walk to get there. The employees are friendly and I'm sure their normal coffees are tasty. I've been on various diet restrictions when I've gone, however, and they don't have the best options. Their sugar free options for sweetened coffee creations is basically none - I think I saw them put some Splenda packets or something in mine when I had gestational diabetes - would love if they could add a fun syrup or two for folks in that situation even though it no longer affects me. Now I'm nursing and can't have dairy or oats, which left coconut milk as the only milk alternative -- it was just gross, in my opinion, I couldn't finish it and wouldn't get it again. And now I think my babe may even have a coconut allergy which would leave me with no milk alternative. I'm assuming maybe an owner or employee has a nut allergy and that's why they don't have almond milk but if that isn't the case I really suggest they add that as a milk option. Lastly, I really wish they kept a visible menu somewhere in the building. I went off of Google Maps menu photos because there was a really long line and by the time I got to the register, where the only small menu I know of can be flipped through, I wasn't able to order the allergen friendly snack I had picked out because they didn't have it anymore and I didn't want to make people behind me wait while I assessed the current menu. Again, looking forward to the day I can enjoy this business as is with no restrictions because it's a really fun spot, just think there are some improvements they could make to make their Coler oasis more...
Read moreThis used to be our favorite place in town. We live nearby and would go 2-4 times per week. The staff, food, service, vibes, everything was great. This place was so special to us I proposed to my fiancé 100 yards away. Clearly there was some sort of massive shift last year because it is now one of the worst run establishments in the city. Quality of food and drinks is laughable, to the point where we literally bought an espresso machine to make sure we can have our own coffee during our walks at Coler. The staff is an absolute nightmare now, we used to have entire conversations (when appropriately slow) with baristas, now they genuinely look like they despise being there every time. We try to never leave negative feedback but it’s truly wild how different this place is now. We went there 3 days ago and stood in line for 10 minutes to try and get waters, they got through 3 customers before we gave up, someone said they had been waiting for 15 and to just abandon hope, we did.
This place is amazing and should genuinely be one of the biggest tourist attractions of this town, but sadly whoever decided to change everything, fire the entire previous staff, and refuse to properly train or manage ANY part of this operation has squandered that. Super bummed that this place has been left behind by whoever is in charge...
Read moreOne of the things I love about Bentonville are the little spots like this. We started at the parking lot off 3rd, had a beautiful 20-minute morning walk, had great coffee, and then made the 20-minute walk back. I ordered a flat white cappuccino with oat milk, the spouse got a cortado, and another family member got an iced peppercorn latte.
The service was great, the coffee was great, and sitting there with our 4-legged friend watching the the town pass by was wonderful. There are times when the traffic has me super frustrated, but a morning at Airship make it easier to remember all the things I love about my town. Take the 20-minute one-way walk (or 55-minute if you walk from the trailhead off 8th street), bring your furry friend(s), and get some good coffee. Make sure you get to enjoy the singing bridge and firefly habitat.
PS- No food rating because I didn't eat. My daughter said the banana bread was...
