Decided to try this Mexican restaurant yesterday for lunch with my mom & a friend. We got there around 1:30 & it was not too busy or crowded during our meal. We didn't wait to be seated & our waiter quickly got us our drinks, chips & salsa, & our orders. The food didn't take long after we ordered & was steaming hot when we got it. My mom & I shared an order of Chicken Fajitas that was delicious. I thought that their chicken in the fajitas had a fabulous flavor and was cooked perfectly. Our friend ordered a chicken dish, I'm unsure which one, but it looked very tasty! The staff was very friendly & accommodating, food was prepared quickly& was delicious, & the price is not too much for the quality of the meal. I recommend trying it out! I will warn you, they do appear to get slammed hard during lunch rush so if you can go a little later or in between lunch and dinner rush.

The food & price was good, but the service was awful. My husband and I stopped to get rest for the night and we went to get some grub.. took me 20 mins to just get a glass of water.. but the guy named Jorge was very unprofessional and like a mean bully sort a say.. and he was racist!!! They judged us by my husband’s skin color (black) and I’m white but apparently I’m black by association. He even had an attitude when I was asking questions about drinks.. we were gonna dine in.. but decided to get it to go!!! I’m not racist or what not.. But come to find out we were not to far from what they call a” sundown “ city/state.. so if you ain’t white you ain’t right!!! Just sad that racism still happens til this day… and it doesn’t matter what city or state your in!!!!

Best Mexican restaurant in Berea, and I've been going to other ones for 20 years. Somehow their coffee is incredible - a little hidden treat. The seafood fajitas came with generous portion of fish with grilled shrimp and scallops. Tamales verdes were perfect. Tortillas were excellent. The Mexican rice has a beautiful fried texture - it's slightly chewy and really satisfying, not kind of soft like some restaurants make it. Prices are really reasonable for the amount and quality of food. My only complaint is that the table salsa was too mild, but the server had plenty of hot sauce options for us to choose from, and I know in Kentucky folks tend to prefer milder food.

Restaurant is very clean and in good order. We both ordered the Taco Salads; not something I usually order but for whatever reason I did. Their taco salad is unique - the meat had no greasy flavor or residue in the bottom of the salad shell. The ingredients were fresh, plentiful, well seasoned, but not over seasoned, and the shell was made on-site, also not greasy and very crisp. We complimented the waiter on the taco meat and asked how it was made. He asked the cook who responded they just cook it in water. (They must change the water several times to achieve the non-greasy status it had and I suspect they use a 90/10 ground beef to achieve the texture.) We were impressed and the waiter genuinely seemed pleased we enjoyed the taco salads so much. Waters, a soda and a ice tea, less than...
