I had the unfortunate experience of dining at B2 this evening, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. We were greeted by our waitress and she asked what we would like to drink. She then asked if she could take the glasses from our table because they ran out. We thought that was slightly odd, but we did receive our drinks and then realized with that we had no water glasses. No water offered at all. Every other table had a bottle of water. She came back and took our appetizer order. Easy enough, we told her we still needed a minute for figuring out our entrees. That order was taken and off she went. So we waited, enjoyed the scenery… and waited … and waiting. After waiting over an hour for our appetizer- lobster bisque soup and lobster topped tater tots, it finally arrived cold. The soup was sitting somewhere for so long there was a coagulated film on top. Our waitress apologized repeatedly and while I know it wasn’t directly her fault, she should have been more assertive for the kitchen staff and runners to get their act together. She did offer to get us new soup, which she said she took from another tables order…. And then the kitchen runner brought another soup. So we had 2 cold soups and cold tots.
We told our waitress that our experience even to that point wasn’t up to any standard and we would like to speak to a manager. To make matters worse, it took another 10 minutes just to get the attention of a manager. When the manager finally arrived, they were indifferent, offering no real solution to the mess. We received a shrug and that there was nothing they could do. Just saying their system went down. Really? There’s no back up plan? No one in the kitchen to sort manual tickets? There’s no communication to patrons that there’s a major problem and severe delays? Sending our server out every 3 minutes to say “I’m sorry for the delay.” is not solution. I explained my disappointment in the wait and service, especially after driving over an hour to get there, and that we wouldn’t be staying. To smooth it over she asked if we wanted dessert to go, which felt like a bit of a push over offer after not even having any sort of dinner.
For the price point this place is a joke. Save your time, money, and patience – go somewhere else. B2 is not worth it. Our reservation was at 7:45pm and we didn’t even receive the mess that was the start of the appetizers until after 9pm.
And I’m not even going to talk about the abhorrent parking...
Read moreSuch a shame - and will never go back. Beautiful place - very poorly managed. Only giving one star because I could not post this without doing that.
Was there last Friday and sat at the outside bar. Ordered 2 drinks, and my friend ordered a drink and order of calamari. She did not like the sauce that came with it, so asked if she could have marinara sauce instead and was given an attitude by the bartender because he had to walk to the kitchen to get it (which he ended up doing).
We order our second drink, we decided to get our checks to leave. For two drinks (vodka/water) I was charged $27, and questioned the bartender.
He explained that he was new and had switched my tab with someone else who had just left. I understood, and was told that he was able to correct the price to $20 on their screen and was told just to sign the receipt that said $27. I told him that I did not feel comfortable doing that - which he understood. He called for a manager - who stood there looking at the computer for a while. Then, the manager came to me and asked my name. Went back to the computer for a while, then came back and asked my name again and went back to the computer for a while. He then returns to me asking me for my credit card. I tell him that I do not feel comfortable giving him my card again and ask him why he needs it. At that time the other bartender starts screaming at me from across the bar - yelling - IT'S ONLY $7 and starts screaming at me!!! I'm sorry, but I am a paying customer and yes it is only $7 - but it is still my right! Her and I start arguing at this point, when another manager comes and sits next to me. My friend and I explain what happens, I am told that my tab will be voided and we are walked to our car.
As we are walking to our car, the manager explains that the bartender woman who yelled was going through a lot and to give them another chance. Sorry, but that bartender would have been fired on the spot if I were in charge. No customer should ever be treated like this. I wasn't even yelling at the bartender or manager that I was working with...and she just came out of no where.
And, to top it off - my card was still charged $27.
Such a shame - a beautiful spot indeed - so...
Read moreGreat place to chill out by the tiki bar, listen to live music and have a drink. But if you plan to have a wedding I suggest look elsewhere. Very disorganized and does not cater to special diets, despite being aware of this and telling the bride and Groom food alternatives will be offered. Im upset. My best friend got married here recently, it is The special day for the Bride and Groom; as it is a monumental day in a couples life; their wedding! We all hope to share this day with great memories. The venue itself is impressive, it is clean, offers a great view of the peaceful sea, and is classy. However, I understand the venue has changed management hands over and over. This most likely has caused miscommunication. They have many things to polish. Being an event place their job is to make sure they honor their guests, especially the Bride and Groom. My main issue is the venue dropped the ball on some critical issues. Mainly the food. The venue said they would prep the Bride’s food special, as she has allergies to certain foods. The venue did not carry that out. As a result the bride was not able to eat on her ONE and only wedding day. This is appalling. How can they not acknowledge the brides dietary needs. Following this, those that selected a vegetarian meal where not offered a vegetarian option. How can a guest come here, know they initially selected a vegetarian meal, but then on the day of the wedding, they are declined any vegetarian choices. Those guests left hungry. NOT Good. My next issue was the bridal party and grooms men where very confused on their positions. What was done at rehearsal was changed on the wedding day. In addition the bride and groom where promised special effects during their dance, but the venue said at the last moment they could not offer that. Why offer something, then take it away. Lost expectations, and broken promises. Very unfortunate. It’s a shame the bride and groom had to pay for things but then where left disappointed with broken agreements. Someone...
