The Sweet Shack — Restaurant in Berkeley Township

Initially came in and was excited, the vibe is great and they have vegan ice cream. However, I have a gluten allergy. When my boyfriend asked what was in the “Monkey Business” vegan ice cream the server couldn’t tell me exactly the ingredients. I told her I have a gluten allergy that’s why we are asking and she just said “yeah I wouldn’t.” They sell what they advertise as “doggy ice cream.” My vegan Black raspberry chip ice cream was actually delicious! And my boyfriends milkshake was really good. However, after giving my dog the ice cream, something seemed off like she had a sugar high, and she had diarrhea on the walk. When we got back from walking her, my boyfriend went in and asked the manager what was in the doggy ice cream. Turns out it’s just vanilla serve with a dog treat on top. This is not safe for dogs. It was really disappointing and irresponsible for them to not know the ingredients of the products they sell and not safe to give dogs the amount of dairy and sugar in the product they are selling...

Sweet shack is IT! It’s my go to icecream place. My favorite flavor that I would recommend if you are a huge chocolate fan is the chocolate ecstasy. But everything I’ve had here is delicious. I also occasionally will get the little doggy ice creams for my dog and he loves them. Atmosphere is so cute very pink and bright. There’s also such a huge variety of flavors not even just icecream they have a large selection of waffle cone flavors (lavender, pink vanilla, pumpkin spice, etc) and other desserts like bubble waffles and chocolate lava cake. I can’t recommend this place enough it’s also perfect for kids / families there’s a super cute seating area outside with games...

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had getting ice cream. The staff in there seems like they were pulled straight from dumb and dumber. They gave me a dirty look for ordering a coffee. I ordered 2 sundays and they charged me for completely different sundays “which were more expensive” and completely botched both of them, barely even recognizable to what I ordered. I tried to say something and the kid who made my ice cream stared at me like a just spoke Latin to him so I just walked out. I will never be going here again, unless they properly train their employees or get staff that are competent enough to breathe without...
