Beach Lake Bakery — Restaurant in Berlin Township

After 30 years of living in Tafton, Pennsylvania, my Bride and I just discovered Beach Lake Bakery — and what a wonderful surprise it was! From the moment we walked in, we were amazed by the incredible assortment of fresh, homemade breads, cookies, cakes, and more. Everything is beautifully made with obvious care and craftsmanship.

The atmosphere at the bakery is warm and welcoming, and you can immediately tell that this is a place built on pride, tradition, and a true love for baking. Every item we tried was absolutely delicious, and the quality is second to none.

It’s rare these days to find a place where you feel like you’ve stepped into something truly special — and Beach Lake Bakery is exactly that. We are so happy to have found this gem, and we’ll surely be back many times. What a treasure to have right here in our own backyard!

Imagine finding the most delicious breads, pies, pastries and cookies tucked away on a quiet road in Beach Lake, PA. One bite would make you think you were on a street in my hometown of Brooklyn. The front of the bakery looks like the garage for a private house on a country road. The store only has room for one group at a time. We bought a French style focaccia along with a rustic country loaf, three seed sourdough plus a wild blueberry pie and chocolate chip cookies. I had to leave before I bought out the store! They are only open on Saturdays....

I’ve been meaning to stop by Beach Lake Bakery for the past few months, but just got a chance to visit yesterday ( it’s an hour and 15 minute drive) and I am so happy that I did! The Merry Berry pie is DELICIOUS! The old world rye bread is delicious. The ginger cake is delicious and everything else that we got was also very very good. The women that run the bakery are great, very helpful and nice. The place is small, but it smells so good inside that I did not want to leave, and wanted to buy most things on the shelves.
