West Street Tavern — Restaurant in Berlin

EDITED TO REPLY: my visit was on Sunday July 27th. People from my party actually just took there food to go because of how long it took only to get to where they were going and find out everything was flavorless or cooked wrong. This was the same day you had 2 or 3 teenagers as the only ones working while they were telling everyone that people called out and nobody to come in. The fact you said you don't reheat food is actually worse to me. With how the spaghetti dish looked and tasted it must've been just sitting there on the counter waiting to be brought out for who knows how long.

Chose to try this place based off of the great reviews.

Pros: scenic drive to get to the restaurant.

Cons: ONE server & ONE bartender for the entire place at our time of service.

Waitress placed numerous items directly in front of my one yr olds highchair. (Full glasses of water, alcholic beverags , hot plates of food, silverware)

"Smashed burgers" cooked medium rare. Smashed burgers can not be cooked rare as they are supposed to be thin crispy edges smashed etc. asked for well done to be sure but still pink. Asked for ketchup and mayo no ketchup and mayo. Plain sliced cucumber on burger no pickle flavor at all.

Mac & cheese. Nothing more nothing less. Boiled noodles and cheese. No flavor no seasonings.

Garlic buffalo tenders. Just regular buffalo tenders no garlic flavor but were tasty none the less. Most edible item ordered today.

Mozzarella sticks. Burned. Very greasy. No flavor

Spaghetti and meatballs. Not fresh. Reheated. Dried out.

Started us with water. Had to ask for drinks. Had to ask for menu. Ask to order. Basically was seated and forgot about until flagging down server each time. Felt bad for server. Management needs to hire more staff. Food took entirely to long to come out. Everyones food out at different times. Everything different temperatures.

Over $100 spent and everyone left HUNGRY. Waste of time and money. I guess today was an off day by the sound of other reviews. Unfortunately we will not...

We were not impressed by the service. The establishment is quite nice. They defiantly put effort into the remodel. The hostess was running around and doing her job exceedingly well. She was a soldier. Our waitress on the other hand was nowhere to be found to service us. We could see her behind the bar area but she wouldn't come out. Then she would walk by us with blinders, just looking straight ahead. We had to flag her down for everything. She never checked on us. We had to ask her for any bit of attention. She didn't do her job as a waitress other than eventually bring out our food. We had to wave at her as she walked by for refills. We definitely would have ordered more drinks if it didn't seem like such a hassle to her. We waited for 15 minutes to even get our first greeting from her. Then watched as others arrived and got serviced by other waitresses immediately. They also got there food well before us even though we had arrived 20 minutes before them. I enjoyed the pizza but the fettuccine alfredo was good. We ordered appetizers like chowder and didn't get them until all of the food arrived. The wait was long so it would have been nice to get the appetizers before the meal. Over all it was a dry experience. Order to go because the service...

Visited last night for dinner. It was as loud as we could barely stand it! My wife actually put on her hearing protection so we could talk without yelling at each other.

My wife had haddock which arrived including a weird, green hard veggie. We later learned it was some type of carrot?

I ordered my favorite meal, fish and chips. This one wasn’t very good at all. I never use tartar sauce because I love the flavor of the batter with the tasty fish. This fish needed tartar sauce. No flavor whatsoever. Furthermore, the fish was served on top of fries. I hat it when the grease from the fish make the fries soggy. But ever worse, the fries were covered in salt! Yuck. To top it off the coleslaw was terrible.

The cocktails were very good, although a bit pricy. Our meals were also a bit pricy at $26 for fishies. However, considering noise level and the quality of my meal I do not...
