Hopper's — Restaurant in Berrien Township

We stopped by here on our way home from Benton harbor. I'm so glad we did! I swear they have someone's grandma cooking in the kitchen. The food was SO GOOD! I had the #3 (1/2 French toast order with 2 eggs (scrambled), and bacon). I also added a banana nut pancake. My husband had the country fried steak with 2 sunny side up eggs, country potatoes, and biscuits. He added a side of sausage gravy. If he could have licked his plate without people looking at him weird he would have. We will without a doubt be back again if ever in the neighborhood, or even if we're within 2 hours away. If you are looking for a great hidden gem that will fill your belly and not empty your wallet, this is it! They were also very friendly even though we were in our OSU gear too! 🤣 The atmosphere was definitely very family oriented and gave a small community feel even to an out of towner. 10 out of 10....

We sat down, and within just a very few minutes were asked if we were ready to order, tgen literally 2 minutes later asked again, as we were talking , and catching up after months of not seei g each other. When I said we hadn't looked yet ,the waitress and I am pretty sure owner became agitated with us... I didn't come to eat a Sunday breakfast tp be rushed and then treated rudely because we were talking and didn't decide what we wanted within less than 5 minutes there. Not even cheese or any kind of garnishes on my chicken sandwich that was like 10 bucks and none of the food had flavor cuz not even had seasoning and it tasted like the chicken strip for fried with the fish because that's the only seasoning you got out of it other than the pepper in the batter.. the staff were very nice but I only ate the chili bowl I ordered which was low on flavor as well and I didn't even eat my grilled chicken sandwich and only ate a little piece of the kids chicken so pretty much left hungry and it was super cold in there they had a thermostat set on 67 in the...
