This comment goes towards the store area of this business. All I ask in life is people who are in public relations to be nice. As I carry peoples stuff across this nation, I just ask that when I walk into a truck stop. Employees should be nice. If they are having a bad day, just tell people they are having a bad day.
But, when I walked in, to purchase at least 175 gallons of diesel and probably also 10 gallons of DEF, and was going to spend at least $10 to $15 in the restaurant. Unfortunately, my first encounter with your Employees at around 7:30 am on Friday, September 22, 2023. I ended up turning around and leaving. I REFUSE TO DEAL WITH MEAN AND NASTY EMPLOYEES. ESPECIALLY ON A FRIDAY MORNING!!!!!!!
This is uncalled for, talking to employees and other customers, I learned these Employees get away with anything they want at this business.
I suggest travelers keep away from this business . Maybe after a while, the owner will understand that the loss of funds due to these mean and nasty Employees are causing them major business. That mean and nasty will be let go.
Until then, I'll never stop here again for fuel, never stop here for the restaurant, never stop here for truck and trailer wash and I will never stop here for shop work on my rig. I'll pay whatever it takes to have a wrecker service to take my rig anywhere else if I ever break down within 50 miles of this location.
All because of Mean and NASTY...
Read moreYou close at 9 in a truck stop? Right because truckers only work 9-5pm. Oh that's ok because I can buy HALF a wrap for 5 bucks. It's no wonder this place went out of business before, I won't be back and I'll make sure and spread the word. The c store and bathrooms need major renovation too.
Update: truckers order your food from 3rd STREET PIZZERIA if your hungry. It's way better than this place and delivery is free. Now, for the wise guy business owner. I was indicating that if we worked 9 to 5pm that from 5:30 to 9pm we would be doing the essentials. I.e. eating, showering, taking care of business. Now, let me reiterate: I work 14-16 hrs EVERY DAY. I run my own business. I went to school for it too. My schedule is all hours of the day. I worked until 9:15pm last. I went inside and were told you were closed. Why was I there at that time? Because I don't work 9 to 5 wise guy. Maybe, you could actually get wise instead of trying to act like it. A customer left you a review. I told you what's wrong with your store, IMO. Do something about it, or just ignore it like the rest of the business owners who don't care about anything. Also, you never answered my question. How does half of a wrap constitute charging 5 dollars for it? Honestly, if what you charge for gas station food has any indication of your restaraunt quality, I'm glad I ordered from down the street. They at least stay open until 10 pm...
Read moreIf you hadn't told me this was a truck stop, I would have assumed I was being served a 3-star Michelin course by Marco Pierre White himself.
I was served the finest cup of coffee - a wonderful arabica blend, hot and fresh.
This was followed by a platter of the finest breakfast tastings. Eggs, lightly fried over velvety butter. The finest bread, toasted, served with an array of the finest jellies to sample. Potatoes, grated, fried lightly, and dusted every so slightly with salt and pepper. The finale - corned beef hash. The potatoes, chopped into the perfect cubes, intertwined and mingling with the rich and meaty flavors of the finest cuts of bovine.
The environment pulls you in with its subtle beauty. The diamond plating on the walls lets you know - they mean business. But the warmth of the waitress as she tends to your every need - it relaxes you. The environment is intimidating... Am I worthy? Have I climbed the societal ladder high enough to be amongst the diners who frequent this establishment...? Or did I just get lucky? These thoughts don't last long, as you are served delicacy after delicacy. You melt into JD's Diner. You know deep down it can't last forever, but you wish to suspend your disbelief... to stay in this culinary paradise for as long...
