Dalo's Bakery — Restaurant in Berwick

I love Dalos Bakery. I grew up in Berwick and it has been our families go to place for all kinds of cakes, pizza, and pastries for decades. I’m brokenhearted to hear that it’s for sale. I pray that the family decides to keep it in the family. I pray that they can find a good baker and some good help to keep this wonderful establishment operational. This place is a landmark in Berwick. I could not imagine going back to visit my family and not being able to stop at Dalo’s For some good things to share with my family when I visit them and to take back with me when I come back to Virginia. Considering moving back to the area, one of the main reasons is because of This place and the Other Mom and Pop establishments in the area. I live in the city now, outside of DC, and I can honestly tell you, after 27 years There is NOTHING like Dalo’s anywhere. I have never seen a place as good in any of my travels. Would be brokenhearted for the rest of my life if This place disappeared like all of the rest of the good places over the years. Praying for a miracle from God to keep Dalo‘s operational at least through the rest of my lifetime. Say what you want about Wegmans and some of the high priced, supposedly “high-end “grocery stores, they don’t have anything like Delos, and if they do, It’s not nearly as good quality. I wish the old Dalos was back. The service is horrible. The food is horrible. Every time we order, I pray they get it right. I can honestly say I’m done getting food from Dalos. I ordered pizza today with light sauce and extra cheese. I got a pizza that looked like it was sitting all day with extra sauce and no extra cheese and they still charged extra for the topping. I ordered 4 donuts and asked if they were made today and I was told yes. However, when I got them they are extremely hard and stale like they were 4 days old. They never should have been sold. Seriously, Dalos just needs to close because their food is horrible. When did they stop taking pride in what they served? I would not recommend anything from Dalos. Go to Tuzzi for pizza and rolls. Stopped In today, so many delicious choices. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Purchased pre packaged cookies, can't wait to open them. Also purchased some donuts and brownies. The. Brownie didn't stand a chance, ate it as soon as I got in the car. All I can say is 😋 YUM. was wishing I purchased more. As soon as I got home I ate the peanut butter jelly donut.
