Pit Stop Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Bessemer

Ordered their nachos as an appetizer and fish tacos for my meal. The bartender asked if I wanted the nachos as an appetizer, yes please, told him I’d work on those first with my beer and take the rest home when my supper came. They didn’t have a half plate, told him that was ok as long as he had a to go box for the rest. Waited a really long time for my nachos, I was sipping my beer but that was all but gone when the cook finally came over and dropped my tacos and nachos off, the tacos actually hit the table first. I ate the tacos, put the nachos in a to go container. Tried eating the nachos later, but the meat was like someone dumped a whole salt shaker in it. It wasn’t just salty (I like salty), it was gross, totally inedible, and all it took was a small amount of meat to destroy my trying to pick around it. I never leave reviews but the experience I just had has blown my mind so here my story. Been in twice sense the new location opened, first time my food came out wrong, but wasn’t mad as the place packed to the doors and was giving serveral free drink tickets. Came back today,place wasn’t busy at all maybe 5 small groups of people waited 10 minutes for drink service and waited another 5 minutes for our food order which isn’t bad ,but our food took over an hour to come out and the bartender checked on us once in this time ,mind you we were sitting at the bar that was it the manager who I know did check on us once but here’s why I’m leaving this review I decided not to tip as I was unsatisfied with the service the bar tender and she complained that I didn’t tip so the manager blew up my phone in outrage very unprofessional and overall terrible experience. The place has no kids menu. Actually zero physical menu’s. Not a huge deal about the lack of menu’s. The waitresses look like they just rolled out bed after a long night, grabbed their pack of camel non filters, and came to work. They’re too busy conversation with locals to attend their tables and accommodate their tables. Barely anyone (see my quick video) in the place and the cook had to bring out our food. (He seemed the only decent employee) We were never checked back on to see if we would like another beverage. Literally had to ask the cook while he was bringing out another tables food because she was absent. Weak drinks. Food is basic deep fryer food so not hard to screw that up. Maybe being from Minnesota our standards are different 🤷‍♂️ either way we won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone....
