Laux Brickhouse Grille — Restaurant in Bethalto

first of all the decorations and the new additions are amazing! I love how the tables are around the bar and there's of room to spread out. However we did have a complaint. I don't like to post negative things. I don't usually post unless I have something positive to say. The main thing is that we had to wait over an hour for 21 or whatever boneless chicken wings. The server came out and said that the printer was broken and she had to put the order in again and asked us the order again. We waited and washed other people with larger orders around us get their food and even one couple got their bill and were finished before we even got our food. When it came out mine was supposed to be garlic parmesan. I didn't taste either flavor in there. they almost looked and tasted plain. I wasn't told either that they could not be naked and had to be breaded. I ordered naked and she didn't say anything. And I had ordered hot sauce on the side she said it would be $0.50 extra. then I did not even receive it. she said it would be on her. because we ask for it on the side she charge $0.50 each. But the sauces didn't even help They were so dry, We had to chew and chew ❗ When she asked how it was I said they were very dry. she said I'm sorry. When she brought the bill I said this food should really be on the house. 2 of us ordered three beers and one ordered one. All she said was I'm sorry. And I said well can the manager do anything and she said she would ask her her to come over. We never saw a manager. after being there that long we had to get out. I ended up taking my six home. had to cut them up in little pieces and drown them in Italian dressing to get any flavor in them. The tiny container of garlic parmesan (That was 50 cents) was solid butter the next day. I don't usually get chicken nuggets but once in a while when I try them they are more tender. they're also not much smaller than what we received last night. Needless to say we were disappointed . We came in they cleaned a table off for us I know they were a little busy. We sat down at our table I know our server was busy so completely understandable taking a minute to get to us. We ordered drinks for the kids there were 7 of us. We ordered Margaritas for us adults. We waited about 20 minutes to get them.The bar wasn’t too busy it self so there was honestly no reason for that. Mozzarella sticks,Mac n cheese bites, fried mushrooms were amazing good hot and fresh. I got my side salad for my entree before appetizers which I’ve managed numerous kitchens and I know how it goes but always make sure the customer gets the appetizers first. We got our entrees I ordered a 12 oz ribeye which was cooked to perfection until I took the first bite. There was no seasoning on it at all. The wife ordered Grilled shrimp and Fries which came with hush puppies and coleslaw. We weren’t informed until after we got our food that they were out of hush puppies. Which I understand how it goes. The wife’s fries were cold no salt at all. Which we came late it was about 8:15 on a Sunday after we walked in no body came in after us. My daughter got the horseshoe with a burger she’s 16 and it looked amazing. Until she took a bite and said Dad there is no seasoning on this at all. Why do you season everything so good. Which I know how the restaurant business goes one person complains and they try to fix it I have numerous years working in a kitchen as well as managing them. We like Flavor most people do. had a bad experience there today, for starters my family loves going to the Brickhouse the food is great, but today the service we got was as bad as it gets. "Diana" ( I belive that was her name) ignored us the whole time. it started when we got there. its "seat yourself" so we sat in the old bar area. Several minutes go by with no one coming by. 5 people come in and seat next to us, "Diana" gives them menus and takes there drink order before they're even sitting, no problem she will get us next. Nope they start putting tables together, 2 people, part of a party of 10 comes in, "Diana" starts their order. What seems like 10 more minutes pass before another server asks if we were helped yet. She tells us "Diana" is our server, but she gets us drinks brings us menus and puts in or apps order, since we were waiting so long. Thats the only reason i didn't get up and leave. Now "Diana" will eventually come and take the rest of our order, but thats about all she did, others brought out or apps, she never came by to refill our drinks, we had to ask for plates and silverware. I have never not tipped. I normally tip 20-25% and i have a 5 dollar minimum tip policy. today was the first time i have ever not tipped, and driving home, i actually felt a little sick over that, im not a "talk to the manager kind of guy" i know people have off days, i know sometimes there busy and covid has effected the work force and the truth is ill be back to the brickhouse, maybe "Diana" can do...
