I understand that mistakes happen, but how a company handles their mistake says a lot about the company. One of my pizzas was made wrong, when I called Teddy Bâs regarding THEIR mistake, I was given a hard time. I was told to âbring back the wrong pizzaâ. Never have I had a company ask to bring a wrong item back. What could they possibly do with with it. Resell the Slices? Disgusting. I was also told I would need to pay AGAIN for the pizza that they made incorrectly because we had âeatenâ some. The slices that were bitten into were put back in the box when we realized it was regular chicken and not buffalo chicken and it was returned. It was their mistake...why am I paying twice? I returned the pizza they made wrong. I am the one inconvenienced by driving to get the pizza twice. I asked to speak to owner, but he conveniently had âjust leftâ. I asked to speak to the next person in charge, and was told he was not available to speak. He finally did come speak to me, but was very rude. He eventually admitted the pizza was made wrong, but kept making excuses. This is not the way to run a business, especially not the way to treat a loyal customer who has eaten there many times. Friends and I frequent this place quite often, but never again will we visit such a rude establishment. It was their mistake....not mine. There was NEVER even a âsorry for the mistakeâ, just rudeness as if I...
Read moreWent there for the first time yesterday before the local wrestling show as is tradition with my group of friends. They've told me about this place for a long time and raved about the food and how much you get for the right prices, but words could not prepare me for how truly good the food was!
I ordered a grilled pastrami on rye which comes with a pickle and coleslaw if you don't order fries, and by god that sandwich slapped, the pickle was deliciously refreshing, and the Coleslaw was not overly watery or over saturated with mayo like I usually encounter at other places!
My only critique for the sandwich is that I had to add the coleslaw to the sandwich to send it right home to flavor town! The Hummel's pastrami is a bit on the salty side, especially after grilling some of the moisture out of it, so it needs some sort of acid to cut through that salt, the coleslaw on the sandwich was perfect for that! I highly recommend adding your coleslaw to the sandwich if you order it, it's sends it above and beyond in flavor and doesn't overwhelm your taste buds with salt all at once.
Definitely recommending this place to...
Read moreEdited review on 2/7/24: Went to Teddy B's last weekend for breakfast. The place is just straight up dirty. I found a blonde hair in my food (my hair is dark brown), in addition to a hair on my knife. I'm including pictures (the lights above each table clearly shows the caked on dust hanging over the table you're eating on, the window sills right next to our booth and the window two booths down) because I cannot believe they have an 'A' score from the health department. That just says to me Quinnipiac Valley Health Department doesn't have a clue. I've lived in Bethany 20 years. I know country restaurants tend to be less fancy, BUT fancy and clean are two different situations altogether. The place is literally filthy. Never again. Which is a shame because when the food comes sans hair, it's actually pretty good food.
Original post: Yummy. It's the local kind of diner. It has everything, food is really very good and portions are decent. The atmosphere leaves a little little something to be desired as it doesn't appear as though it's been updated in several decades, but if you can get past that, it's worth visiting for...
