I wish I had the presence of mind to snap a picture of my cheesesteak—it was hearty! But I suppose fate has decreed that I'll do that on my next visit.
Moving on, the chef was friendly, inquisitive, and helpful. Since this was my first time at this location, I decided to drop by while on my way to deliver something to my chef wife who works in the area. As soon as I entered, a tall gentleman behind the counter greeted me warmly, asking, "How are you today? How can I help you?" (if I remember correctly). I responded, "I'm not sure, what do you recommend?" He replied, "How hungry are you?" as he perused the menu. I said, "I can eat," or something to that effect. He suggested, "Try the cheesesteak." I agreed, "Okay, I'll have the Cheesesteak, prepared however you make it, with salt, pepper, ketchup, and mayo." He asked, "Are you dining in or taking away, and do you like fried onions and Cooper Sharp cheese?" I answered, "Yes, I do, and it's for take away." Anyway, I know I'm rambling, but it was such a pleasant experience in terms of food and service that I feel compelled to share these details.
We engaged in small talk while he cooked my Cheesesteak. Upon completion, he proudly handed it to me saying, "Enjoy." He handed me my cheesesteak without a bag—must have been good, and I think he was excited to gain a new lifelong patron (lol). It had some weight to it, and he remarked, "It's substantial, right? Wait until you taste it." I thanked him and took my sandwich home.
Upon unwrapping my sandwich and taking my first delightful bite...
Here we go! Yes, I know it's "just" a cheesesteak, but it was so much more. This was a meticulously crafted, layered-to-perfection cheesesteak. The soft bread, the perfectly balanced cheese-to-meat ratio, and just the right amount of every ingredient made this cheesesteak (in my opinion) THE BEST IN DELAWARE COUNTY. I highly recommend anyone seeking cheesesteak perfection to visit FAST EDDIE'S JAG STOP and indulge. I'll definitely be trying the brisket on my next visit, which will be frequent. Looks like I'll need a gym membership again (lol)!
I’m taking pictures next time , maybe today again (lol) my wife must try...
Read moreTERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service. The restaurant owner or cashier lady is EXTREMELY rude. An office I work for purchases coupons for our patients to enjoy free pizza, and she is ALWAYS rude to our staff members. We decided to order lunch for our office today because our establishment is very close to this restaurant and the manager opened 1 hour after we ordered our food and pushed our order back by an additional 45 minutes. She turned all of the phones off so we were unable to connect with her to discuss the timing of our order. We ordered at 11 am and came into the establishment at 11:45 am to see if our order was close to ready for our lunch meeting at 12:00pm. The restaurant doors were locked and the phones were shut off. Our office manager asked about our order once the doors finally opened up and the store manager/associate RUDELY replied "we opened late today. Im busy and i have a big order" we told her it was our order and she RUDELY said "no its not your order". It was in fact our order. We asked for a refund because she said it would not be ready until 12:45 pm when our lunch would be over and she rolled her eyes at us and said "really you cant give me 45 minutes?" She also stated that she cannot refund us, we have to do it through the app. I am highly disappointed in this restaurant and amazed that it is still open after the multiple rude encounters we have had. We will NOT be doing business with the establishment again. Im surprised that ANYONE has commented anything about good customer service. We have yet to receive that. While i'm here... if you are looking for GOOD pizza go to Double Decker Pizza. Way better customer service with a faster turn around time. Completley saved our offics...
Read moreUPDATE: this review was of the Jag Stop, prior to change of ownership - I hope the new Garnet Valley Pizza does better. Unimpressive and overpriced. Italian hoagie and hot wings. $35. The $13 base price of the hoagie might lead one to believe it will be packed with premium meats and cheese. But no; it was lightly filled with run-of-the-mill cheap deli ham and sliver of salami. Adding insult to injury, lettuce costs 50 cents extra, tomatoes cost another 50 cents, onion another 50, and pickles yet another 50. Seriously, who charges extra for lettuce on a sandwich? On the plus side, the roll was good. Wings were mediocre at best - nicely crispy and covered in sauce, but weirdly salty and definitely not worth the $15 price tag for 10 wings. Overall this place is priced like premium but delivering below average. On top of that a $1.75 "convenience" fee is tacked on to your order for the convenience of giving them your business. For the prices charged here, the business should be paying for the online ordering service. That's a cost of doing business, and it costs less than paying someone to take orders over the phone. Paying extra for lettuce and a fee for placing an order are...
