This review is going to focus on Gluten Free pizza and disability access. I will mention other highlights.

I noticed this company through a Facebook posting regarding gluten-free Pizza. Being that I, and another person in my family, have medically diagnosed Celiac, this caught my interest.

I asked the risk of cross contamination, and they came back with that they used separate utensils, pans, etc. and that they wash the area down throughly before making a gluten-free pizza. Short of a completely gluten-free facility and separate prep areas? This is as close to contaminant free that you are going to find for gluten-free.

They do not have gluten free bread options, so be aware of that before ordering.

The staff are allergen aware, and trained on cross contamination, and will absolutely answer any questions you have.

Bonus... they have gluten-free ice cream cones!!

Being disabled, the first thing I noticed is the parking lot was flat and free of debris. I wasnt able to see if there was handicap parking, as we showed up when it was fairly busy, and my husband grabbed the first spot he found. Every parking space is close to the door.

They had manageable steps for those who have mobility issues but still walk. They had a handicap ramp for wheelchair accessibility. The door doesn't have an automatic opener, that I noticed, but the staff there are wonderful and not afraid to open a door for you.

I did not use the bathroom facilities, but from a distance they did not seem big enough for a wheelchair, but it did seem big enough for a walker.

There were tables with chairs that could be moved for wheelchair users, as well as your traditional "pizza joint" booths.

I was using my cane today and I used a booth while I was waiting. It was clean, and easy to get in and out of. Lots of room to maneuver for any mobility device in the isles as well.

The menu was clearly written in larger print, with vegan/vegetarian options, including vegan cheese which is not something I have seen before in a pizza place. I am not vegan, so I didn't order it, but I liked the inclusiveness of the menu for different dietary needs.

The staff was so friendly, helpful, and kind. They even gave us a local resource to a gluten-free baker in the area. (We are fairly new to this area, having moved here recently).

The food was very yummy, and the non-gluten-free eater in the house stated that he loved the regular meat lovers pizza and the whoopee pie.

They will definitely have my families...

I'll start from the beginning. Whoever answered the phone when my better half called to place a take out was being difficult and rude. She (the employee answering the phone) have a difficult time comprehending basic menu items.

When I arrived to pick up our order, I see two windows; one to place orders and one to pick up orders. Since my order had already been placed, I went to the pick up orders window. After waiting several minutes, I was told I was in the wrong line because I had not paid and they couldn't process payments from that window. The guy at the window tells me, "he hates to be that guy" but I have to go to the back of the orders line and wait again.

Once I get to the front, pay for my food, and walk back to the car, I see that one of my pizzas is totally wrong. I went back to the window and showed them what was wrong. Again, it is like these people have difficulty understanding basic statements. "This pizza is wrong because..." Yet, they keep trying to explain something about the the pizza that was correct, after I said multiple times that pizza was correct. Once they figured out that the other pizza was the one that was incorrect, they tried to tell me that was how it was ordered. Finally, another woman came up and told them to just remake the pizza.

Now, while I'm sitting there on the deck waiting for my pizza to be remade, I see a guy pick up his to go order from the pick up window and pay for it from that window... the same window I was told I could not do that. "I hate to be that guy" that writes a bad review for poor...

This place is worth every good review and then some! We stopped in multiple times during our stay and there wasn't a single thing we didn't love- it was all SO good! Shakes, food, seasonal items... all amazing. We actually had to force ourselves to try other restaurants in the area after the first few times because it was so easy to keep going back! The people were a huge part of that too, everyone we interacted with was so nice! They make you feel like you're a regular even if it's your first visit and we really enjoyed talking with them! They're in a great location with great hours as well! I highly recommend The Bethel Sugar Shack!

The best pizza ever. Being form Boston and busting NY a lot I was so surprised to find amazing pizza at my favorite ski resort up the street. We called ahead and they told us 45 minutes to eat in they were slammed. But when we got there they got us our pizza earlier and it was so good. The flavor in the sauce was amazing. The atmosphere was nice and warm. The employees so nice. Highly recommended.
