UnCommon Pizza 49 — Restaurant in Bethel

This is one of the BEST pizza places in Alaska. Also, the best spot in Bethel, in my opinion. The staff is always super friendly, and they are happy to bring my orders right over next door where I work. They do an amazing chicken bacon ranch pizza, and their breakfast pizzas are awesome too. These guys definitely earn their tips. The owner is a super nice guy, as well. I had the privilege of meeting him on the flight over to Bethel. Also, it's one of two places in Bethel that serves alcohol, so if you want a nice beer at the bar, I'd highly recommend them.

I have called to place an order about 30 times in the last 2 weeks. Shame cuz I really like their pizza! But can't get them to answer their phone at all. Got them to answer one time on a Sunday around 6:00 and they said they were closed. I am at my giving up point! Won't be calling them anymore for anything! Don't need to really hear excuses from the owner! Very unacceptable! Probably the best pizza in town but not worth the headache! Me and my family and friends will be calling babas from now on! Hope nobody else has to go through...

Unexpected Find - Bethel is a very challenging environment as it is in an isolated rural western Alaska community. Often distribution in this far flung community dictates what a resturant can do. I did not find that here. The quality of service was excellent by any standard. The food was also above expectations with pizza, burgers, salads, and sandwiches. An error was made on my order, and the staff was very apologetic and bent over beyond backwards to make it right. Prices were well within the expected in...
